Miðholt Your Guesthouse

Highly recommended! This guest house is placed near to main street in Akureyri - it's easy to find. You can park outside the building. On the other side of the street you can find Bonus (cheap grocery). The room for 4p (one double bed + bunk bed) was very comfortable. Shared bathroom was very clean, soap/shampoo/conditioner were provided. The owners were very friendly and we spent few minutes together chatting in living room. They also offered us doing a laundry. Kitchen is very well equipped. You can expect to find there everything you need for reasonable price, although amazing kindness of guest house owners is priceless. Thank you for having us :) The only minor drawback is lack of separate toilet, so sometimes you have to wait a little bit longer. Since there are only 3 rooms for rent, this shouldn't be a major problem.
