Olympia House

Booked the property via booking.com and contacted the owner prior to departure. Rang Olympia upon arrival and met her en route to the property which is set on a hill affording wonderful views over the bay where you can sit and watch all manner of vessels travelling into and out of Vathy. We had the ground floor apartment with a large terrace and outside sitting area to enjoy meals in the shade. The property itself is a little dated but has everything you need. Olympia visited several times to clean and check everything was ok. Would recommend a car as Vathy is a ten minute drive away and has several supermarkets to stock up provisions. The beach of Dexa is only a ten minute walk and has sun beds to hire if required and olive trees providing shade from the sun. Swam early in the mornings along with a handful of mainly elderly locals. Perfect setting. Re the car. Booked a vehicle prior to departure with AGS rental in Vathy who kindly arranged for us to pick up and leave the vehicle at piso aegis port. The island itself is beautiful to explore and we did the whole island in a week. Loved Ithaca and would highly recommend Olympia as a place to stay
