Santorini is a beautiful island and has so much more to offer than the picturesque but touristy towns of Fira and Oia.  Of course visit those towns, but stay in Perissa!  This is a cute little town offers all kinds of food, drinks, etc. in walking distance and very reasonalbly priced!  As a solo traveler I could not have picked a better place to stay than Villa Kasteli.  Not only is it s short walk to the beach, but this is a perfect place to meet up with other travelers over breakfast or late night drink on the patio.  If you are a traveler you know how awesome it is to connect with other travels to share tips and share stories about traveling the world!  Vicki makes toast & coffee in the morning and is great at making sure everyone is introduced and feels welcome.  I only had 3 days on Santorini so I rented a car to see all the sights, but folks that were staying longer were using the bus to get around just fine.  I stayed in a 3-bed womens room with a little balcony and it was great- clean and very reasonalby priced!  Highly recommend doing the walk from Fira to Oia and seeing ancient Akrotiri during your stay in Santorini.

Great place for solo travelers in Santorini!

My flight landed and I didn’t get to the villa until 430, she woke up and greeted me. The dorms were good and I was happy with how I slept. She offers free breakfast of toast and coffee until 1030. Don’t forget to sign the book and pin which part of the world you’re from!!

I have been travelling all over Europe for the past 2 months and out of every place i have stayed Villa Kasteli takes top priority over everywhere. 

The owners are absolutely amazing and beautiful people. They are so warm, kind and friendly. The check in process was smooth and exceptional. Vicky is so kind and helpful with every thing and anything you want to do on the island for activities or just to have a nice conversation with. 
The rooms are big and comfortable with sweet extra amenities like the best ham and cheese breakfast sandwiches, Greek coffee and your very own mini fridge. 

The ambiance and atmosphere here is just like joining a small family and their dog Ares is a sweet nice touch too. He is a kind and gentle dog. 

I have nothing negative to write about Villa Kasteli but only good things. So if you are going to make your way to Perissa in Santorini I highly highly recommend you look no further than this slice of paradise. Surrounded by great shops and restaurants and a 2 minute walk to the Beach, you certainly will not be disappointed.



Superb hotel with a 5 star stay

I stayed in this lovely hostel on my first night in Greece.  As a solo traveler I was made to feel at home immediately and everything I asked for was attended to straight away.  Very warm and friendly people - Vicky was sure to introduce me to the other guests at breakfast time.  Great location also.

Vicky is so amazing! Warm welcoming. Gave us great suggestions to place in santorini. The Rooms are very clean,and the place is quiet, good location close to the sea,and  lots of restarants and shops. Would definitly return

Highly reccomended

Lovely little hostel right near the beach in Perissa. Near a great 24hour bakery, supermarkets and some cheap restaurants. Vicky the host was absolutely amazing! She made the stay fantastic. Super helpful, made us breakfast each morning and cleaned the rooms. She even gave me aloe vera gel to keep when I had sunburn. I'm sad that the hosts are moving on from this place, so wont be there next season. I hope the new owner/manager keeps it as a hostel and makes it just as great as Vicky! I hopefully will be back next year!
