spacious charming rooms, very clean space, kind people and great, delicious, rich breakfast. The house is in the centre of the village. Very beautiful experience. Everything is made with heart in Papigo. 

Beautiful!

I arrived in Papingo hot and weary after walking down the Vikos Gorge. I'd been recommended to go straight to Guesthouse Koulis - good advice! The brothers Vaggelis and Nikos gave me a super warm welcome, and after a restful night in a wonderfully old-fashioned room I was treated to a wholesome breakfast - quite unexpected as this wasn't part of the deal.

Old-style hospitality

Well, what a little secret this place is. After a long and tiring walk up the Vikos gorge this was definitely worth an extra 45mins walking rather than staying in Vikos. Rooms were traditional but clean and on suite bathroom as well. 
Wif fi a little sporadic but didn't expect hot speeds. 
Breaky was good and made when ready.
Good quiet spot and anice little tavern just spitting distance away.

Charming guesthouse

I had my NYEve in Guesthouse Koulis.It was a very satisfying choice.The owner,Vaggelis,is  warm,friendly and generous to guests. He prepared the sufficient breakfast with his own hands and he gave us a receipt before we ask him about it. The double bed room with a traditional fireplace and design offers you the oppurtunity to relax as much you want during your stay in it. The room was tidy and clean and the owner provided us with firewoodin his own initiative.The Guesthouse is located in the centre of the village and it is nearby to caffs and restaurants/taverns.
The value for money relationship was absolutely positive and fair.I would hoghly recommend it.

warm,tradition and value for money

Koulis Guesthouse is part of one of the most traditional villages in Greece. On the outside it is beautifully and tastefully decorated together with the coffee-bar in front of the guesthouse. This coffee-bar is amaizing for relaxing, overlooking the village and the imposing figure of the Astraka mountain. Breakfast can be taken there, since it is not included in the room price. It is also the perfect place for a drink in the evening, during sunset, when the mountain changes all kinds of colours.
The guesthouse has kept all the original character and style, the main intervention having to do with the bathrooms, which are realy modern gining the luxurious touch needed. All other basic facilities except breakfast are available, and considering the logical prices (during summer, which is low season) this guesthouse is realy worth staying at. 
Papigo is a very popular destination in winter time, but it is also an incredible experience staying there during the summer months, with no crouds and beautiful cool weather.

So traditional and so relaxing

I stayed at The Guesthouse for several days in September.  Upon check-in, I was greeted by the manager but, after that, I never saw a staff member again.  My bed was hard and uncomfortable.  My room was freezing.  There was no maid service.  There were no staff members to assist you.  I was traveling with four friends, and each of us had separate rooms at this hotel.  We all had the same experience.  If you visit Popingo, consider staying at a hotel with some customer service.
