One of the best hotels we have stayed in with the friendliest staff and guests you could ever wish to meet!! I think we managed to get one of the best rooms 219 with a great view from the balcony!! If you can cope with the shower in the bathroom then you are winning in life 😆just make sure you close the bathroom door as the shower head has a mind of it’s own 😆we stayed for 11 nights and wished we could have stayed longer!! We found some lovely tavernas all within walking distance and a lovely beach at liapades which we caught a water taxi to!!

Gem of a hotel

We booked the sea-view room with a stunning view of the bay in Paleokastritsa. Really nice room which was simple but clean and up to standard. Nice pool area.

Grrat location! Walking distance to most of the nature attractions i Paleokastritsa (beaches, La Grotta, Monastry etc).

Would absolutely recommend this hotel, at least as good as many 3/4 star hotels I have been visiting previously. For the small price, you get a fantastic hotel at one of the best locations of Corfu!

Best bang for the buck in Corfu?!

We were here in May and decided to return again this September. We were met as before by wonderful smiles, warmth and incredible hospitality. The rooms are basic but comfortable and cleaned perfectly by Kremena who also helps in the kitchen during breakfast time. Anthimos is brilliant and nothing is too much trouble for him and the team. The bar is run during the day by Dora and in the evening by Marianna. One note we would say is to be aware that there are steep ramps at this hotel. One ramp up to the bar, resturaunt area, and another up the the first level of rooms. The upper rooms are accessed by a further flight of steps. The road outside is fairly flat but to get to any beaches, access is by very steep steps and not accessible if you have mobility difficulties. The main beach by the monastery is accessed by the main road but is a good twenty minute walk and involves a hill towards the end. There are some wonderful bar/resturaunts close by. The hotel is quiet and peaceful at the best of times and the pool area lovely. We would recommend this hotel to anyone but again do bear in mind that if you have mobility difficulties, this destination may not be for you.

Another lovely stay

Stayed here with Tui.  Experience with them wasn't so great but the staff at the hotel were brilliant. It's a very friendly place to stay and many return year after year- we certainly would if we headed this way again.  Its annoying that Tui don't highlight the lack of breakfast properly, we like a bigger breakfast so we can not eat again until the evening, while the price for extra items wasn't excessive it was unexpected.

Friendly place to stay

Booked in 2019 and finally got to go, stayed two weeks in room 106 with side sea view from the balcony. Rooms are perfectly adequate and typical Greek. Shower was powerful and never without hot water, fridge in room worked fine, bed & pillows comfortable and the wardrobe had loads of space. All the staff were very very friendly and polite nothing was to much trouble for them they look after you from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave. Bar area and terrace were fantastic and was where you go for breakfast which is table service and was pleasant to sit for lunch, pre dinner drinks and to return to at the end of the evening for drinks and a get together with other guests. It closes at 01:00 when it’s locked and the staff leave, you can stay and finish your drinks as long as the noise is kept to a minimum. The food at the bar is delicious and we ate there on a few occasions, drink and food prices are very reasonable. Pool area is very pleasant and most welcome after returning from our days out on the quad bike which we hired for 10 days and explored lots of the island. Corfu town is a must visit during your stay. Taverna’s are plentiful in the resort and never had a bad meal in any of them. Anthimos, Marieanne & Dora are wonderful people and look after you so well always with a smile on their face. I read some previous reviews about returning guests taking over, well we never experienced any of this and all the fellow guests were friendly and respectful so do not let those reviews put you off booking. I would not hesitate in returning to the Paleo Inn. For a 2 star hotel I award them 5 stars.

I stayed as a solo traveler, the weather was amazing, plenty of great places to eat, all  nearby some next door, beach not too far away may be a problem for people with walking problems paleokastritsa is very hilly so be warned.
The paleo inn, I was in room 104 which was situated on the ground floor of the block, typical Greek self catering so no surprise there, a perfectly good fridge for chilling your drinks, no kitchen area though, no kettle so you might want to take your own if you like a cuppa in the morning!
Breakfast was included in the price, which consisted of toast/jam cup of tea or coffee and for one euro extra you get to choose from a list of extras like boiled egg etc…
Access to the inn is up a semi-steep ramp not so hard but access to the block of rooms is up another very very steep ramp although to be fair although steep is not long it’s only about thirty feet, great fun on those nights when you’ve had a bit too much to drink and you can’t make it up the ramp.
Room was cleaned regularly, towels changed once a week, lovely balcony with tables and chairs very comfy but basic rooms although the drain in the bathroom did stink at times but I didn’t spend my holiday in the bathroom so who cares.
The bar area is lovely and run by the most amazing ladies and a lovely guy!
They’re around to help if you need anything. Guests met in the bar after dinner to drink and chat and also to eat lunch and escape the mid-day afternoon sun the terrace and bar area is fully shaded with a lovely view of the sea and road and it’s nice to sit and watch with a iced coffee.
Light snacks and lunches are available throughout the day reasonably priced and very tasty.
The pool area is lovely, the pool itself is very refreshing at its deepest point about 6 feet deep. The sun loungers and parasols are a bit dated but do the job ok.
There’s a toilet and shower rooms on the pool terrace for late checkout guests which is nice.
It’s my first time at Paleo inn and I would stay here again definitely, it’s not the flashiest place but it’s got real appeal and it’s down to earth, it’s laid back and it’s fun, I met some amazing people and have some wonderful memories of this place.

Week at paleo inn

What a pleasant return to the island after not visiting for 12 yrs.  Warm welcome on arrival and straight to our room. A little basic, but what more do you need when on such a beautiful island. Room was nice and clean and cleaned regularly. Air Conditioning worked very well! This was charge of €35 for the week, we found this very reasonable. In Gran Canaria we've paid €10/15 a day for air conditioning. 

Pool/ bar/ reception area very clean and inviting. Bar food good and reasonably priced. A little disappointed with just tost and drink included in the b&b ( only because i wasn't aware) everything else was extra. But the full english was worth it. 

Staff were very polite and smiling all the time. 

We had a problem with our door, when we returned from our day out, it was all fixed. 

Lovely pool area and not far from anywhere. 

Would definitely recommend and visit again! 

Beautiful return to the island 

This was our second stay at Paleo Inn and most certainly won't be our last.  

Paleo Inn has a fabulous location, perfectly placed for numerous restaurants and bars and a stones throw from a small supermarket.  There is a beach approximately 5 minutes away.  The pool at Paleo Inn is extremely peaceful with an ample amount of sunbeds and umbrellas.  The sun hits the pool all day long so you can sit anywhere and you will catch it.

There is a lovely poolside bar which sells very reasonably priced snacks and drinks and has a wonderful view overlooking the sea!

We stayed bed and breakfast and the room was very comfortable.  It was cleaned daily (except Sunday) and the towels and bedding changed twice a week.  Air conditioning is extra but absolutely worth every penny!!  Breakfast consisted of toast and jam, orange juice and tea/coffee, and for an extra euro you can add additional items such as eggs, beans, yoghurt - an absolute bargain!

We had a small balcony which had a table and chairs and small washing line, we had a lovely view of the sea, we absolutely cannot fault it!

Paleo Inn has numerous returning visitors and this is mainly due to the friendliness of everyone there.  Nothing is too much trouble!  Dora and Katie who work during the day are absolutely adorable, Marianne works during the evening and is so unbelievably friendly and cannot do enough for you, be sure to ask her for tips of things to do.  Of course Anthimos was his usual charming self and should be extremely proud of his hotel and staff.

I could go on and on raving about Paleo Inn and Paleokastritsa but by best advice would be to go and experience the beauty of this wonderful resort.  It is hilly and probably not ideal for children (which for us is part of its charm) but I challenge anyone not to fall in love with Paleo Inn and Paleokastritsa.

Another fabulous stay

This is one of the friendliest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful views of the sea and within walking distance if everything. Anthamos, Theodora and Mariella were the best hosts. Nothing a problem every question we had was answered with great kindness. We would return here tomorrow if we could. Food was also available into late evening if you wished. We made good friend and think that’s as this is a small and friendly hotel. We will definitely be back.

Little gem

Lovely hotel with friendly staff.  Rooms were clean and comfortable.  Pool was great with plenty of sun beds.  Breakfast was waiter service and there was a choice of added extras for only a couple of euros.  The bar area was superb for a late evening drink with a nice relaxing atmosphere and the opportunity to meet up with fellow guests. This was our first visit and we met up with many people who return year after year and can understand why. We will definitely return.
