All the appliances are Outdated, lights that don't work, few plugs, very old shower with either too hot or cold water. The child with us tried to wash her hands and the barhroom sink broke to pieces on her feet (she wasn't injured thankfully).The pool is disgusting, i have never met more rude staff in my life. The bathroom smelled like urine so much it gave us nausea. Unacceptable should be closed immediately. No shower gel etc. No extra towels.

Dangerous, the worst hotel of my life

We arrived late evening after a long day travelling from the UK. We were happy and excited on the first night of our holiday during which we were planning to explore parts of  Evia we hadn't seen before. We were somewhat disappointed and deflated therefore, to receive one of the coldest  receptions we have ever received during 25 years of travelling around Greece. The lady was senior in years but really should understand that a warm welcome would be appreciated on arrival at the hotel. First impressions are very important. 

However we were very happy with our sea view room which was spacious and very clean.

We actually fell in love with the hotel. Yes, it is not modern,  it really is a period piece which gives it a special calm and safe atmosphere. We could have happily stayed for weeks.

The location is perfect, within easy flat walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops in the town. 

We had only planned on staying a couple of nights but extended our stay by several nights. I took advantage of the peaceful atmosphere and worked on my laptop in the downstairs sitting area for hours each morning.

There is a large swimming pool at the hotel which was very quiet when we were there in September. The area around it was relaxing,clean and very pleasant. 

At the end of the day it is all down to individual taste. This hotel has a fabulous 1950s/60s feel to it  and  the price is very very reasonable. We have, in the past, always stayed in Rafina at Hotel Avra on our way to and from Athens airport but it costs three times what you pay here and is in truth no more comfortable. 
 
Hotel Nireus will be our first choice in this area from now on but I do hope the staff learn the importance of friendly interaction with their guests.

Loved it but smile please !!

If you are looking for somewhere to put your head down for the night and you don’t want to pay a lot, ;this is a good  choice. The beds are comfortable, all be it we were given a room with single beds, (I believe double beds were available)  a shower that gives  constant hot water,  a hairdryer and most other things that are necessary for a night’s accommodation, this is a good choice.  The fact that the shower was lacking a section of door really isn’t a problem, neither are the old fashioned radiators or old furniture. Everything was very clean and everything worked. 
If your requirements include  state of the art  shower and designer furniture it’s definetly not somewhere you  would enjoy. If, however, you are looking for a beautiful view of the glistening sea and a hotel location within a short drive from Athens airport, friendly staff and great value ( 43 E) this, in my view, is a good choice. 

Location location location

Traveling through Greece, and was looking for affordable accommodation. This is the place, clean bedding and rooms, very friendly staff who can not do enough for you, coffee in the room if requested. This is an ideal location directly on the beach with plenty of bars and cafes to chose from. The hotel offers food in season but unfortunately was closed when I visited. I am happy to recommend this hotel to and body traveling on a budget. Pictures are the view from my balcony stunning.

If you want to experience Hannibal Lecter or a mental ward, stay here! This is the creepiest hotel I’ve stayed in! We walked into a 1950’s what looked like to be a mental hospital. We arrived late at night and we were greeted by a lobby full of old people in wheelchairs. The elevator could only take 2 people without luggage so we had to go up 1 person at the time. The room smelled of smoke, an old rotary phone, single beds...
The only plus: great view of the sea. I will never go back and don’t recommend this hotel!

Old hotel, dirty room, cockroach in the bathroom, defective shower apple... I escaped!

FURIOUS

Very nice accommodation...dark green pool does not give confidence..the rooms,old rooms But clean Large outdoor terrace...cozy morning buffet, no shops but restaurants along the beach with a view lost, away from the tourist spot...a pharmacy not far away, of very good advice...The city is five minutes away where you can find everything. A bar for young people is three minutes away all the restaurants are facing the sea....if you are not too difficult and taxi hotel not expensive for you to decide....in beautiful beach Also five minutes from hotel with long chairs and its Rests Zouberi good service three menus fish We can get there fixed at 20 minutes from the airport... a taxi ride with the great price... 30 euros hotels.

Three modest hotels

The hotel is a bit dated, but clean. We used it for a one-night stop during the trip between Athens and Meteora. It's a sign of the courtesy of the staff. I can't judge breakfast because it wasn't included in our booking.

It should be renewed

The hotel is old, some of the guests are regular customers who came here in the summer with their parents!!! The pool can be enjoyed by everyone, not just the guests. It reminds of the Soviet boardrooms. The pool is very casual, the pool is very clean, the beaches are clear, the bar is very quiet. (((((We used to stay in front of the hotel, but the hotel is usually small, but we started with a small green dog, but the hotel is about 6 to 8 minutes' walk to the beach, but there is a small dining room, a small beach, a small bar, a small bar, a small beach, a small bar, a small restaurant, a small beach, a small beach, but a 5-minute walk around the lake, but there are plenty of restaurants in the city.

Nice place, wonderful town, but noisy hotel.

It's a very simple, efficient maos room with a nice little balcony overlooking the pool and the beachfront.
