My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the family apartment. We stayed for 10 days so the extra space was very comfortable. Vagelis met us at the ferry and walked us to the apartment, pointing out places of interest and recommending restaurants along the way. The apartment is very authentic, filled with character, located in the old town but tucked away from the busy crowds and noise. It's very handy for exploring the old town, to convenience stores, shops and restaurants. There was a very generous basket of fruit, a jar of jam and 2 bottles of wine from Vagelis's farm provided. The bed was very comfortable and luxurious. The shower has a curtain and is a little small but the shower head and water pressure are great. Night gowns and slippers were provided along with beach towels. There's a lovely balcony and the kitchen window has a view of one of the churches and the sea. All in all a beautiful spot to stay with a lovely and generous host. 

Retreat in the old town

This is an amazing apartment in the historic old town area of Naxos. Its location is private and quiet yet just steps away from the vibrant alleys, shops and restaurants. It has a beautiful courtyard and the suites are excellent. The owner, Vageles, provides top-notch service. Highly recommended.

Amazing apartment

I highly recommend this apartment. It is centrally located within walking distance to the castle, port, lots of restaurants and shops yet secluded and quiet with its location down one of the adorable maze like pathways. The apartment has a historical past that the owner will proudly share with you. The air conditioner works great and there’s free parking nearby. 

The owner was very kind and welcoming. He met us at the port to walk us to the apartment. He also left us some wonderful wine and delicious homemade jam. 

We felt like a local every morning passing the local fruit stand and baker with the most delicious bread I’ve ever had. 

We truly loved our stay. Thank you!!

Charming, historical apartment

The location is absolutely wonderful in the higher reaches of the labyrinthine streets of Naxos Chora just beneath the castle, and away from the gift shops and tavernas, and so very peaceful. We had an upper floor apartment reached up some steps at the back of the property so did not share the courtyard with other guests, making it very private, with a small balcony that catches the morning sun. It consisted of two rooms, one with a sofa and table and kitchenette, so we felt we had plenty of space. The bed was very comfortable and there is AC if you need it. The decor is beautiful with lovely antique furniture and interesting archeological artefacts. The kitchenette is OK for preparing breakfast, not much else, but I'm sure most people go out for dinner! Vangelis met us at the port to take us there and left us with some wine and marmalade from his farm (delicious!). We had been to Naxos once before so didn't need to ask him lots of advice, but I'm sure he would be very helpful. We needed to change our travel plans and take a late night ferry and he only charged us half-rate for keeping the room until 11pm which was very decent. We liked Vangelis and we love his apartment! And we love Naxos!

Perfect stay in Naxos Chora

We were wished welcome by our friendly host by the port upon arrival, and led through the market street on our short walk to the apartment. The apartment itself was clean, tidy and with complimentary fruit and wine. We also arrived a day late due to a strike, but did not have to pay for the night we lost, which was a very kind gesture. Would absolutely recommend this place for a relaxed, relatively simple, but cozy vacation. Perfect for my girlfriend and I on our short visit to Naxos.

Charming and traditional!

This was one of our favorite stays during a 24 day trip of Greece and Italy. The location, the history, the quaintness- everything was perfect. The owner greeted us at the port, even though our ferry was an hour late. He walked us to the apartment and gave us a little history of Naxos on our way. He also provided us with little tips to remember the walk back. We received a bottle of wine, marmalade and grapes as a welcome gift. The wine was delicious and the grapes were some of the sweetest I've ever had. The apartment looked even more charming than it did in pictures. There is history laced throughout the apartment (there were glass display boxes with blurbs explaining what things were). We absolutely loved staying in Old Town as it is everything you dream of when visiting a Greek Island!

Must Stay for Naxos!!!!

This was a repeat visit for us, but this time we brought friends with us. The rooms are full of character but have been fully updated to modern standards. The owner and his staff were super helpful at all times and really made the holiday. The position is ideal to wonder around Naxos town and also to use buses or hire a car. The sheltered courtyard was ideal for us to get together at the beginning and end of the day. We chose our time to coincide with Greek Easter and May Day holiday. A wonderful experience to be part of.
I would thoroughly recommend Venetiko to everyone, choosing your room to suit your needs (some are bigger than others, and one has no outside space).

Apartments and studios in the old town

The room did look very nice but it was quite smelly (like sewerage) and felt very damp and dark. It did seem well maintained but because of the smell and damp, we did not feel particularly comfortable and as a result did not spend much time in the apartment. Also, when we arrived they seemed to have no idea who we were or which room we were to use, so we did have to wait quite a while in the courtyard, which was not particularly clean or inviting. Nice location, but quite hard to find! Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Damp and dark

The building is very old, the oldest was built 500 years ago according to the owner. I have archeological site preserved under my bed. Furniture and equipments mostly old but worked well and I had all amenities I need. The aircon worked perfectly fine to help me freshen up after an afternoon stroll around the old market. Hot water was almost not available, but it didn't matter as I prefer cold shower in summer. The owner picked me up from the harbor as it's quite hard to find the location as a first timer. He gave me a bottlr of wine and marmalade from his own farm. And the staff lady gave me a very fragrant and sweet melon. The apartment might not be everyone's cup of tea, but definitely mine.

I'm Living my Rustic Dream for 2 Nights

We spent four wonderful nights here and would certainly return for another visit. We stayed in late April and it was very good value. Our studio had a comfortable bed, lovely linen and pillows as well as extra pillows and a warm blanket in the wardrobe in case we needed it. The studio was beautifully and eclectically furnished with antiques and archeological pieces of interest. Our floor even had a glass panel in it to show the ancient  archeological remains below. The kitchen was fine for making breakfast or a snack - as well as greek coffee making pots it also had a coffee machine, cafetiere, kettle and teapot, one frying pan and a saucepan.  We also found home made marmalade, wine and fruit left for us. The room was very well cleaned every day and everything in the bathroom worked fine. There were ample arrangements for drying clothes, inside and out and as well as towels for the apartment we had a large beach towel. Our host Evangelos was friendly and helpful and gave us good recommendations about where to eat. It was a delight walking to and from the apartment through the narrow old town. It was close to many excellent restaurants and a short walk along the seafront to the beach. Naxos was really beautiful. We found a wood fired bakery nearby, a little local co operative food shop and excellent places to eat out. All in all a lovely spot and we look forward to visiting again.
