markos beach hotel is a family run hotel directly at the beach only 10 minutes walking to mykonos town. although relatively simple, i cannot more than fully recommend the place. it is in such a beautiful beach location with nice ocean views and the owners are very friendly including the various cats on the premises, which were included in the rate to touch. the rooms are functional and very clean. i was given room #1 which has a large terrace overlooking the bay and enjoyed very much staying there. the only backdrop you have to know is that the beach sometimes can be very windy, but this is something you cannot blame the owners for.
