We have really enjoyed our stay. The staff is very nice people, who likes to chat and joke. The food and the pool was fine,  and the rooms were much better than the the pictures. The location of the hotel is very fine and central in Kalamaki. Not long from a beautifaul beach. A rcommandation!

Very good

 We booked this last minute to escape the awful weather in Denmark, and there were not many sun holidays available.  We are very happy we chose this place! It is a lovely quiet  small  all inclusive hotel (Sunweb exclusive I think)  with newly renovated spacious rooms.  We stayed in a 2 room unit with a  bedroom and 2 large sleeping sofas in the living room where our adult/teen children slept. Nice big veranda with sliding doors from both the bedroom and living room All beds were very comfy. Nice big shower and we never had problems with hot water or pressure.  Air condition is individually controlled in each room and it worked flawlessly.  It is a very clean and well maintained hotel both the rooms and the public areas.  Pool was excellent and plenty of lawnchairs for everyone, it never felt overcrowded. The food was varied but of course as with any all inclusive it can feel a bit repetitive after a while, but there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops in less than a 5 minute walk.  There were staples at all meals such as  fresh salads, a different pastas , french fries, rice or rice dishes,  but meat dishes were pretty much switched from day to day.  I had some exceptional lamb dishes as well as some very nice pork , chicken and fish.  Some evenings which were as good as restauraunt quality with potato wedges and grilled veg.  We went to a restaurant 2 nights just to get a change of scenery.  I must admit a previous review of "made the best of it" had me worried, but I think the review was unfair, the food was nicely prepared and fresh and far from "awful". If you like spicy though, bring your own hot sauce.  Staff brought me fresh mint when I asked about mint sauce, to complement the excellent lamb. There was a greek BBQ with dance and music one night, but mostly it is a quiet and calm atmosphere in the evening.   All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and went out of their way to please.  Draft beer, local wine and drinks were with local alcohol and there was 4 cocktails you could choose from included, but you could buy premium beer, wine and drinks with branded alcohol by payment. Draft soda and ice cream was included but outside of meals you needed to wait at the bar to be served.  Perhaps they should consider having this as being self serve. The lovely lady at the bar had to spend quite some time making ice creams during the day. Snacks such as samwhiches pizza squares and nachos available during the day between meals.  You need to buy water for the room, but the supermarket across the street is very reasonable.  Very nice sandy beach where the turtles nest is only a 5-10 minute walk.  We saw turtles a few times a few hundred metres from shore but you can rent a paddle boat if you aren't comfortable going too far out.  Overall a very nice stay and would highly recommend especially for families.

I am not the type to share a review but in this case I almost feel obligated to do so

Keep in mind that this hotel only offers all inclusive stays, so my review will be regarding the whole package

I have booked a lot of different all inclusive stays in different countries but this one was the only one that I had to get something to eat outside of the hotel

The first night we saw some ants on the bed, when we lifted the bed and there were like 25/30 ants, the owner came and started spraying some chemical to get rid of the ants (without our consent ofcourse because we had to sleep in this room now with a strong spray smell ), the next day housekeeping came by and sprayed so more, after this the ants were mostly gone

Like I said, the food was pretty bad and because of this we had to eat outside (not the goal of an all inclusive vacation)
The variety was very small and mostly the same every day, sometimes they used food from the day before

In between breakfast, lunch and diner they served some snacks at the bar ( if you're lucky ), the last day we waited an hour just to find out there were no snacks today

Speaking of the bar, I can not remember a moment when I did not have to wait for my drink, there was always a queue and the service was often too slow.

Again, the variety of the drinks were also too small, a lot of drinks required extra payment

An average all inclusive hotel offers the possibility to get your own soft drinks, snacks and ice cream, unfortunately this hotel does not and you will have to ask for it every time and a lot because the cups are pretty small

We did have fun with the pingpong table and clearly tried to make the best out of this experience

Made the best out of it

Fantastic hotel and lovely food.

Stayed here with my wife and 3 kids and absolutely loved it, rooms are spacious and well equipped, hotel and pool area are spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

The food is really good, especially if you like traditional Greek food although there is a little bit of everything, never too busy too as they have meal sittings and restrict numbers per sitting due to covid.

Good selection of drinks on all inclusive plus snacks available in between meals.

Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

Great hotel and great food.

Lovely vacation, great staff, lovely accommodation. Clean and spacious rooms. Nice food. The whole complex is well maintained. You have your own beds by the pool for the whole holiday. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach, where you can rent 2 beds and an umbrella for a small fee.

Great vacation

Loved this hotel. Came back numerous times but then they stopped allowing Tui or Thomson British holiday companies. Gutted that we couldn’t go back and had to find an alternate place.  
A real shame cause the kids loved the family who ran it.

Well located hotel with spacious rooms and pool area. Let down by poor plumbing and unpalatable food / drink.
The hotel is located next door to Laganas but without the Laganas clientele so was perfect as could head out to the bars on a few nights or get a lift to tourist boat trips. The hotel was also a walk away from highly rated restaurants such as Elias and Michaelos, and next to a large strip with some souvenir shops and lots of agencies that sold tickets to the boat trips. Also - the beach in Kalamaki was one of the nicest in the island in my opinion because it didn’t have any stones and sold really nice fresh fruit! There was loads of space around the hotel in the rooms, by the pool, in the restaurants. They also provided lilos for the pool which is great as usually hotels don’t allow them at all. There is also a family pool although it didn’t seem to be used by families so maybe it’s not deep enough or something? As the hotel was so empty this didn’t bother us though. Everyone had their own deck chair due to Covid which was actually a great thing (no more getting up at 7am to run to the pool and reserve one). I would recommend carrying on this practice!
Now on to the stuff to improve. The food was generally inedible. I was disappointed that they didn’t even have the basic Greek stuff. Hummus, pita and chicken / lamb souvlaki should have been on the menu every single day. In actuality, it was just frozen stuff that had some curry spices sprinkled over the top and baked. They did have an amazing Greek salad though so I literally lived off that for the entire time. It seems strange that they can’t do nice food cheaply because in the area there are lots of touristy restaurants that do cheap food, and a Greek salad for about 4 EURO. Just up the road they have an amazing Irish bar that served full English breakfasts with proper tea, bacon, sausage etc (which Amaryllis doesn’t have) for 5 EURO. My advice would be to NOT book any food Inclusive from this hotel - just use it as a base. 
Obviously the all inclusive includes drinks, which was good value but honestly the juice is so so cheap and nasty it’s like Capri sun with added sugar. A little investment here to have slightly nicer juice and a Broader array of cocktails available would be good. However the wine is a local wine and really nice! I basically drank that the entire time. It would probably have been just as cost effective for me to bring a few bottles of red through duty free with me as a result though!
The entire buffet experience was made more frustrating due to the Covid 19 rules brought in by the govnt. The hotel got us to line up and order from the staff who ran around scooping the food for us. This isn’t their fault but something to bear in mind because this really grated after a couple of days and honestly was just nicer to go out and order normally in a restaurant. This Covid situation also meant we had limited access to nice water. There was a water tap (same as the Coca Cola Tap) that the barmen could use in the day but the water tasted rank as it had remnants of orange juice, Coca Cola in it Etc. There was also an hour between breakfast closing and the bar opening when there was no access to water at all - and this always seemed to be the hour we wanted to leave for the day. The buffet opened at 8 which wasn’t much help on the days we went on the tourist trips (which usually picked up at 8 or 8:15), so this was a bit of a tourist unfriendly oversight.
Now, the plumbing. In the rooms the water pressure was not enough to flush anything down the toilet so we all used the toilet in the reception area the “situation” came to light. The “situation” was also not resolved by the cleaners who apparently deep cleaned the room (although didn’t remove empty glasses or replace towelling robes for clean ones).
The staff are very helpful and really lovely, which is all the more impressive given the Covid restrictions.

Good location, rooms and pool. Bad food and plumbing

I have just returned from a lovely weeks holiday with my partner and 2 year old son.
The hotel was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis but our room didn’t have any plates/cups/cutlery, which is fine for all inclusive but not when we were only having 1 meal within the hotel.... the restaurant/ bar area also didn’t actually sell meals or drinks so it was difficult to cater for my son. The room slept 3 with a double and single bed, but the double bed was that gigantic we didn’t need the single! Good idea to allocate a sunbed for the week however most beds remained empty despite being allocated. Pools were great and we enjoyed being so close to the airport and seeing the planes land. Lovely to have robes in the room too. Breakfast wasn’t great but made do with toast and fruit. Staff were lovely (especially Jenny) but we could have done with extra facilities as we couldn’t heat milk for my son. Air con was great and could have done with a thicker blanket! Also allocated a second floor room with no lift which was very difficult with a pram and toddler. Thank you for a lovely stay. 

Would return 

What a lovely place. We were a little unsure when we arrived as the location was off the beaten track and it was at night. The next day we were pleasantly surprised.  It was immaculately clean. Basic but everything we needed.  The pool area was nice too. A lovely bar/food area with pleasant staff overlooking the beach. We would definitely recommend it if you want a peaceful quiet place to stay which is just a short bus ride to the other areas of interest. We will be returning. 

Little Gem

All is well at this place, the food, the pool and especially the staff. Extremely friendly and helpful. 

What is ok?
The rooms. They are kept clean very well but they are simple. 
The wifi is average, weak in the room.
Location is ok if you like planes. The airport is very close so you hear them well. But the frequency is limited. It did not bother me. 

Would I return here: 100% yes!!!
