This is definitely an out-of-the-way accommodation, but that's exactly what appealed to us about it. It requires a fairly steep drive up to the quaint village of Tholaria, and then a fairly steep walk up (via stairs, passing restaurants and a beautiful chapel along the way) from the parking area to the room. Personally I'm in great shape and didn't mind the trek one bit. 

We stayed in the Mouros apartment, which was spotless and comfortable. No complaints about the bed. Storage space was plentiful, and the kitchen had everything we needed. And of course, the view from the balcony was truly a knockout. 

Only downsides to the Mouros: we didn't realize that the balcony is not private. There's another suite adjacent to it, and their balcony directly overlooks the Mouros. So when people were on that balcony, we could all see each other. As well, we never used the advertised outdoor shower because it had furniture sitting directly beneath it.

But those are MINOR complaints because the regular shower (inside) was hot with good pressure. And while we enjoyed our balcony, we spent most of our time exploring the island. Since the balcony doesn't have a view of the sunset, we also made a point of watching the sunset from elsewhere (Embassa Bar in Aegiali, or Kamari Taverna in Ano Potamos, etc).

Eva was truly a delight. As others mentioned, she left little treats in our room every day and she provided helpful information about where to go and where to eat. Beach towels were also available upon request.

Upon check-in, Eva drove us and our suitcases as far upwards from the parking area as we could go, and then helped us carry the bags (when wheeling wasn't possible) the rest of the way. It was a sweat-inducing exercise but not a huge deal. Upon checkout we had the option of using a donkey for 10 euro per bag (or something) but we decided to just carry/wheel the suitcases back to Eva's car ourselves.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Plori and would recommend it to other adventurous types like ourselves.

Comfy apartment, gorgeous views

My partner and I stayed in this apartment for five days and we received great hospitality from Eva. She gave us homemade cakes and accommodated our requests such as laundry. We had an unforgettable stay in Amorgos especially with Eva’s great hospitality! The studio with great sea view and every morning we had our breakfast at the terrace! Such a  relaxing  holiday! I recommend you to stay with Eva’s apartment as she offers fantastic hospitality!

Cozy & comfy studio apartment!

We stayed at Plori studios for a week in August, in the two room apartment with a terrace. I cannot say enough good things about the owner, Eva, who made every effort to make our stay comfortable. There were fresh cakes every day, a bottle of wine, etc. The apartment was beautifully decorated with personal touches throughout and screens and air conditioning in both bedrooms. The terrace  has a great view over the village. The apartments are located at the top of the lovely village of Tholaria, which means you have to park your car and walk up, but it wasn’t a problem at all. Eva had a friend bring our biggest bags up by donkey. And it’s worth the extra effort to be in the middle of a charming village with a number of good restaurants just steps away. Thank you, Eva. We’ll be back. 

Lovely apartment 

We loved our stay here. The apartment is very clean, comfortable and stylish with the most amazing views. The sunset scenes will live long in the memory. Eva, the owner, was very helpful before and during the visit. The local beach is beautiful. We’re hoping to be back asap.

Stunning Apartment 

Wonderful location, wonderful rooms! Clean,quiet,comfortable,equipped with everything we needed, decorated only with mrs Eva's, the owner's, handicraft, terraces with a unique view to the sea!  The hospitable owner mrs Eva, with her warm smile and her homemade treats, was very helpful! We' ll be here again nect year!!!

The hostess was really friendly and helpful with everything.The view that the rooms have is absolutely stunning,while their interior design it's simple yet impressive!

Amazing

We stayed 5 days in the upper apartment, what an amazing experience!
The apartment is fully equipped, but the most important asset to this place is definitely the terrace! The most beautiful view over the bay, an ideal place to start the day with a coffee, or end it with a glass of wine!

Eva, the owner, is a very pleasant person, and will assist with any question you have, including helping to find the best beaches or restaurants on the island.

Amorgos is a relatively small island, off the beaten track, so ideal for those travellers who are looking for a quiet and relaxing holidays in a perfect climate!

Amazing place!

The room along with its exquisite view were perfect! Very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The one that we stayed at, was spacious and it had a nice balcony with a gorgeous view of Aegiali bay. They came over at our room on a daily basis to change our towels and tidy it up. The place is situated at Tholaria, a very picturesque and authentic Cycladic village, within walking distance from local restaurants. Eva was an amazing host. She provided us with many information regarding the island and our short stay there in order to make it as good as possible. Everything went perfectly well, would come back!
