I do a lot of traveling and this was a diamond find for me.  I stayed a few days in April 2022 for business.  The staff was the extremely friendly and helpful.  It was chilly in the evenings and they would come light a fire.  Everything was extremely clean and the decorations made me feel like home.  I will definitely come back.

One of the best hotels yet.

Stayed one night here especially to visit the Vitra Campus, only ten minutes away by bus.  The hotel itself has two sections, a new extension with large balcony rooms over the restaurant and courtyard and more old style/compact rooms in the original building.  My room for one was beautifully furnished with pieces from Vitra, very clean and a very efficient shower/bathroom.  Breakfast was a self  service buffet with an option of scrambled eggs or ham and cheese, all nicely presented in an old style wooden panelled dining room.  The staff were friendly and helpful.  The location is ideal for visiting Basel, also slightly cheaper than staying in the city as you pay in euros.  Parking was also available and the town ten minutes walk away had supermarkets and local restaurants.  The hotel itself has a well recommended restaurant but bookings essential.  Overall a really nice visit and out of town experience in a quiet location.

Design lead family run hotel

I spent one night at the Hotel Krone for a good sleep during a trip to The Netherlands.
I have been welcomed by a genuinely nice staff who offered us a good rate despite we did not have a reservation. 

Our room was very nice and was facing the beautiful garden of the hotel. I particularly appreciated the attention for cleaning, which was clearly a priority of the hotel management. Since I am Italian, I also appreciated the variety of sweet food that was offered (together with the savoury) at the breakfast table. 

Big plus: I forgot my phone charger in the room, and the staff found it and ship it to my home. I do believe that such dedication for the customer is not easy to find!

A truly pleasant experience

Room is quiet, nice, in old fashion way, surrounding is quite peaceful and nice, beautiful gardens, trees, everything is green. Internet connections is satisfying. Bathrooms looks nice, pricing of hotel is quite normal and acceptable

Hotel Krone

We thoroughly enjoyed the Hotel Krone. Booked by a bicycle tour agent, we were a little wary as to the location- it being rather off the beaten track. However, our fears were more than allayed. The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. The furnishings are a bit on the old side but it was comfortable. We stayed in one of the parterre rooms. I think it would have even been better if we had stayed in one of the rooms with a balcony or in the garden house. The hotel boasts an indoor pool and small sauna which were much appreciated. The main attraction is the wonderful garden which has been laid out with loving care. The breakfast buffet is just average and I found the dining room to be cramped. Wifi worked so-so.

Wonderful

I have stayed here for about a half dozen times. The garden is beautiful and it is nice to hang out there or in the large fireplace room with the bar in the evenings.  The breakfast is good with quite sufficient variety. The garden rooms range from large to enormous in size. Most are a bit dated but cozy, clean and perfectly functional.

Original and beautiful 

Very nice clean place, which we find out on the way to Italy. Family Room is big enough even for more then 4 person, very clean. Breakfast simple but very good and more then enough. Even owner prepare coffee for us :)
