This place was chosen by my wife for our summer holiday 2018.A great choice.The place is run by the Catholic Diocese of Frieburg and is superb for those with children under 18 wanting to enjoy a relaxing holiday.The place has its own beach and you can get three cooked meals per day.For hard working mums and house husbands that alone is a treat!The meals are terrific and filling and they even have a vegetarian menu and can cater for those with other dietary problems.The accomodation is acceptable,not luxary and there is no TV.However the free WLAN for those who really need it will make up for it!They have their own private beach with stunning views to Switzerland and the Untersee.Trips around the Island are easy,my wife and I walked the whole Island whilst the children entertained themselves playing with the other children.To see the whole Island and its gems properly,we found one week was not enough!The hotel will give you a packed lunch if you are going out for the day.Forgot to mention that they also have special groups for children with both morning and afternoon sessions and a disco on the friday evening before the weekly change over.We tokk 3 of our children aged 11,14 & 16 and they decided not to join in the activities arranged but still all had a great time and made frinds.The 11 year old spent most of her time in the water and was adapt at cannoeing by the end of the week!Prices are resonable and large families can claim help with staying here if they live in Bayern.
