Overall experience was very nice. The location was perfect, peaceful and charming. The family running the overall establishment was very friendly and cooperative. Totally worth the stay.

I think few things that they can improve is firstly the temperature of water in the pool. I think it was too cold to swim indoors. Also, the first day was rather hot when we arrived, so a fan in the room could have been really nice. Also a mini refrigerator in the room would be an awesome addition to the setting.

Rest was perfect. Will definitely recommend others to choose them for the peaceful visit.

Amazing Peaceful Stay

The hotel sits is situated on the top of a mountain with spectacular view, hiking galore, nature all around.  Good food, very friendly staff and owners, the pool is great, the rooms big.  Bathroom is small but all amenities available.  A great place to go if you want proximity to town, but the beautiful black forest at your doorstep.

This hotel is at the top of a mountain so as long as you are on the right side (you can pay a little extra to get a balcony) you can see right down the valley. Unfortunately we only saw this view for a few hours because the weather closed in but it was spectacular when we could see it. The rooms are a little dated but have all you need in them. Being at the top of the mountain does mean that it is not a quick hop to town but they have a restaurant here and better still is that the beer, wine and food is good and reasonably priced. Great for a driving or walking break. Oh - there is also a swimming pool which is large and well kept.

Beautiful views but a hairy drive to get there!

This place is a bit out of the way.  Could be sign posted better from Lautenbach.  But the view is worth it.  make sure you get a room with a view as views to the Rhine valley is worth it.  Rooms are OK.  Bit old but comfortable.  The area has a lot of walks and look for the Schnapps stop on the way in.  Breakfast is good and the staff are very pleasant.  We also had dinner there and it was good value.  If you want a relaxing break in the Black Forest recommended.

Great value just for the view

Can only say beautiful! Stunning, clean rooms, comfortable GREAT value, attentive staff would go back again anytime we had a lovely stay thank you so much!
Very motorbike friendly and some brilliant rides very close by! :-)
