16 reviewsI looked for a reasonable priced hotel during the trade fair in cologne and found this hotel which is 20-30min out of town. The hotel really suprised me as you would expect a much more conservative interior on the country side. Instead I met an art-loving owner who offered simple but functional furnished rooms and very nice continental breakfast with a rich selection of bread, fresh fruits and eggs boilded to order. I only stayed 3 nights so didn't really have time to discover the surroundings but the countryside certainly invites for a walk. I limited myself to stay on the wooden terrace and enjoy the beautiful view with a glas of red wine. The hotel has a small sauna which seems not to be used by many clients, so one shouldn't be too spontaneous to decide for the sauna and give the owner a 1hour headstart so he can get the oven running. Even though the hotel has no laundry service, if you are not too much in a rush, the hotels external laundry may take your clothes and return it within a few days, something not usefull for a 3-day business trip but maybe valuable for long staying guests in particular since you do not have to pay the extensive hotel-laundry-surcharge. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay.
