Great hotel conveniently situated on the end of the main shopping street and just across the road from the train station. 
Hotel is very clean and staff have been very friendly. 
Some spoke a little English which was more than my German but enough to not be a problem. 
Breakfast is continental with plenty of choice from croissants, hams, cheese to scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. 
Our room was next to reception facing the street. It was nice and spacious with a great shower in the bathroom. 
Had no problems with noise but we were here at Easter when the town was basically shut for 3 days. 
The only thing I would change would be the curtains as they didn’t stop any light so the room isn’t very dark even at night. 

Great hotel

stayed for one night here in our way to Giethoorn. 
at the middle of the town where everything in this small very is accessible easily. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. Decent breakfast with variety of food. Hotel entrance is accessible by key which receptionist gave to us and rooms are only in upper floors and accessible by stares.

Pleasant Stay.

Perfect place for a weekend trip, this hotel is very conveniently located close to the station. The staff is extraordinarily friendly, the room and bathroom was spacious and beautifully furnished (if you like art deco). The neighbourhood can be noisy, as there are lots of restaurants close by, but that can be helped with ear pads.
Breakfast was great.
In summary: A lovely small hotel, where I would definitely return to.

A real jewel

Rheine train station was the closest stop to the business I was visiting on the way in from Amsterdam, and Hotel Freye looked close and convenient. It was a good choice. I was met at the door by Georg/George, who came downstairs on a Sunday night to open the door for a clueless non-German speaker who couldn't figure out which way to open a door. And he was still charming! The room was lovely, with tall ceilings and spotless white linens, twin beds arranged in the typical fashion here, with a feather comforter folded on the bed and a pillow propped up, a packet of Haribo gummies and white slippers. I slept well, then had a delicious breakfast in the simple, elegant little dining room. All at less than 500 meters from the train station.

Clean room, friendly staff and a great continental breakfast

Very Nice Hotel in the middle of the market and shopping place. Train station is 3 min walking distance.
Very clean and tidy. The only thing is that its not quite enough as you can hear the sound of passing by people on the road.
