We stayed one night in Omalo after a very awfully cold and unpleasant night in Dartlo. The hostess Manana received us in her newly restored hotel and made us feel warmly welcomed. The room is very clean. The bed is comfortable. And we had a hot water shower after we came back from our hike in the beautiful mountain valley! We were also very happy about the food they prepared. For a standard 10 Lari price per person, what they brought to the table is the best meal we had in our 12-day trip in Georgia. Manana also helped us to find someone to share the taxi back to Telavi. I would highly recommend this guesthouse if you plan to stay in Omalo.

Hotel is located in a picturesque village of Omalo in Tusheti region. Owners are very friendly, rooms are very clean and offer everything you need in this remote region. Food i a restaurant was delicious and they prepared really good hinkali.

most of the places in omalo seem around the same; this was good value for a simple clean room, plenty of hot water and two meals a day, for a vegetarian they went out of there way. The food is abundant - more than you could possibly finish, even after a walking 30km. The rooms downstairs are not prime, as you get noise from the lovely outdoor dining area - upstairs far preferable.

This is a basic guesthouse. My wife and I were given a room with three single beds and an en suite shower/toilet. No problem parking. It's in the middle of nowhere in the mountains. However, don't drive there unless you have plenty of off-road experience. The route up, which took nearly 5 hours,was along a tortuous, winding dirt track classified as one of the most dangerous roads in Europe. You need a local driver with a 4 X 4. 

We are both vegetarians and they did their best to provide us with tasty food. They even gave us a complementary glass of red wine with our meal. We had some problem communicating, as they don't speak much English. Free WiFi.

The place reminded me a little of being up in the mountains in India. Cheap and simple. We had come from the Holiday Inn in Tbilisi and I warned my wife in advance that this was at the other end of the scale! However, we wouldn't have missed it.

Three great days in Tusheti

nice place to stay in omalo, excellent food

Basic, clean and reasonably priced

We stayed with a group of 7 for two nights. 
The location was overbooked so the first night we had to stay in different locations with tiny rooms and even tinier beds. 
The second night and food were good, but when leaving the bill turned out to be double what we expected. In all reviews there was always mention of the food being inclusive.
Now all of a sudden the food was not included in the bill which nearly doubled.
One of our group was informed when arriving. He had no idea of the terms we agreed, we were tricked and the final price was nearly double of any alternative in Omalo.
