The standard of this establishment was horrendous, the management were so rude when we reported a blown fuse in our lounge, left in darkness because the “handy man” couldn’t fix it. The owner was insulting us in French in front of us but we could understand what she was saying. NEVER STAY HERE.

Disgraceful

Firstly, the location of the flat is not too bad as it is convenient to start the day on the slope but bear in mind that it will takes you a good 15mins to walk every night to come back to the flat from the village center. Alternatively you can take the bus but overall it will take you much longer.

We rented the flat at peak season , the second week of Feb 2018 and we were very disappointed by the flat as it did not match at all our expectations for a 3000euros rental. It is a disgrace actually and the argument of being Val d’Isere does not stand as we were with two other families  that rented very nice flats for the same price.

The style/decor of the flat is totally antiquated, narrow and not practical; which would be fine for a cheap option only.
The main bedroom is very narrow with a narrow double bed . The second bedroom is super narrow with a bunkbed and no closet. The rest of the flat is again small especially compared with similar flat at this price.
When we arrived, we discovered that  there were no conveniency washing kit so we had to buy everything ourselves.
The wifi was ridiculous as the  network test showed an average speed of 42kps which was totally unusable. 
For the other facilities, be the spa or the ski room, the quality was fine.

Overall, even at very peak season a flat of such small size, few storage , and antiquated style should never be more than 2000euros max and half for low season. It is good enough for a cheap option but a rip-off at 3000 euros.


Very poor price quality and an antiquated/narrow place

Very nice apartment, very well equipped, just as nice reception and the top.... a real foot skiing!!! The two sections of the resort allow foot skiing access to the apartment!!! I recommend without reservation... even the ski room is heated for the goodness of our morning shoes...

What a good one!

The location is reasonably good and this is the best art of Eurekaval.
With a bit of effort you can ski in and out of Euekaval. 
It is a 400m walk (not too steep) to a reasonable central place, close to lifts, few restaurant, and bar where you can pick up bread in the morning.  you can also take a bus everry 15 min in front of Eurekaval to this centra place. It is another 300m walk to the village centre.

We rented a so called 8 person appartement starting 31/12/1017. It is extremely small for 8. The master bed has a bed of 140, but it is hardly possible to walk around the bed. 5 people are supposed to sleep at the mezannine floor. I have not seen where the 5th should sleep. However in case you would get 5 to sleep there, there is zero room left to sit, except sit on the ding table! 
The dining table is supposed to sit 8...., but how you can eat with 8 is not clear to me. There were 4 dining chairs of which 2 were broken and could not be sat up on (to shaky). 
Furthermore the insulation on one side of the sliding door was broken, so the wind would blow into the appartement. One had to close the shutters otherwise it was too cold to sit at the dining table.... A bit of pity, because then you did not have any view at all!
The bathroom is very small. There is no normal shower, just the classic French version. However the big problem is that there is no hot water for 8. Originally there was a sticker saying there is water for 4. However someone has crossed the 4 out and made an 8. In practice there is water for 6, in case all 6 take a 'reasonable' shower.

Overall the appartement is dated and the furnishing is very simple. It looks more like a student dormitory. We had to pay euro 3500 for the week starting 31/12/2017. Now I realize that this is the most expensive week of the year. However the appartement was advertised for 8 and can not hold 8, and the appartement was advertised as of good quality and it was a student dorm. Overall conclusion is worst price quality possible!

Worst price quality possibel

We rented two apartments for a weekend in this residence. The lady's reception was very efficient and friendly. The state of the quick places for the exit. The apartments are well equipped. They loan free of charge racketeering appliances. The bedding is very good. There is a sauna and jacuzzi on reservation at 10 euros per person. You can go skiing at the foot of the residence which is a real plus. On the other hand, access to the city centre is a little long by parking. But there are free shuttles. One at 11 euros per night or a package whose price I don't know is available under the residence. In short, a good service. I recommend!

Super weekend in the Eureka Valley

We had a pleasant stay in Eureka Valley, a spacious, well-heated apartment, apart from the kitchenette a can too small for my taste and the noisy neighbors, we were very well received by the receptionist who helped us.

Super location very close to the tracks.

We stayed for a week's skiing in February. We were a family of 4 in the 6-person apartment with one double bedroom, one cabin with two beds (we had expected bunk beds but it was a pull-out bed) and a pull-out sofa/bed in the living room.

When we arrived around midnight, we were a bit disappointed with the apartment – it didn't quite live up to the expectations we had from looking at the photos. But after a day or two we came to feel quite at home. The rooms are small – there is not much room to move about in the double bedroom, and the kitchen is ridiculously small. It only has a mini oven – not a full-size oven. The kitchen was so narrow you couldn't even open the dishwasher. But we moved the bar a bit further into the living room and then it was OK. There were plenty of kitchen utensils, plates, pots/pans etc.

The toilet is separate to the bathroom. The bathroom was nice and clean – the only minor inconvenience was that it was a bathtub and taking a shower you had to stand up in it while holding the shower head – it wasn't and couldn't be fixed to the wall.

The balcony is quite large and nice.

All in all, the apartment was cosy enough. Small, but really quite OK for 4 people. I would not stay more than 4 in it, though.

The ski room is not very big, but we never had problems with too many people there.

The location Eureka Val is quite good. The ski in/ski out only worked so far. When you leave the ski room at the back of the building you climb up a couple of steps in the snow and reach a blue piste that takes you down to a choice of ski lifts (you can go up the Bellevarde side with Olympique or up the Solaise side). So that part was perfect. But ski in was difficult as the blue piste that leads back to the hotel starts off as either the blue Santons piste which was closed most of the days. The only other option was to take a black piste some of the way from up high – we did try this, but a black piste is not for everyone, so from the Bellevarde side we had to take the Olympique lift down and from the Solaise side a red piste down and then take the ski bus up to Eureka Val. This was hardly a problem – the ski buses work extremely well and we never had to wait long and we never had any problem with overcrowded buses – it's only that we had expected ski in.

The ski buses in Val d'Isere are very good, very frequent, never overcrowded even though we travelled in peak season.

Eureka Val is a bit removed from the town. To get into the town you can walk about 500 meters down or take the "Blue train" (a ski bus) to the roundabout and from there take the main ski bus bus either one or two stops. This may sound awkward but it was quite fast and efficient. You can also walk all the way (10-15 minutes) – the easiest way is to walk the 500 meters to the roundabout and then cross over the main lift area. That takes you almost straight into town and right past the best of the two supermarkets, the Spar. There is also the Sherpa supermarket on the main street, but if you want fresh meat, you have to use the Spar supermarket. They also have a very good delicatessen with French cheeses, hams, sausages etc.

Just before the aforementioned roundabout about 400 meters from Eureka Val (across from the Snowberry ski rental shop) there is a small café that also sells baguettes and croissants in the morning. They don't have much, however, so it's best to order your bread for the week (or from day to day) and collect it in the morning. We did this every day and so had always fresh bread for breakfast and to make sandwiches for our lunch.

As for the landlady, she was perfectly friendly and helpful … She speaks very good English so communication was smooth and easy. The only slight problem for her was that she didn't have an assistant so she had to close the reception at times even during announced opening hours if she for example had to inspect an apartment (to control the cleaning). But this was only a minor issue. On our day of departure we could leave all our luggage in the room (which she kept locked) next to the reception and we had a lovely shower in the spa section before we left in the late afternoon. The landlady gave us plenty of clean towels to use and there was free shampoo as well.

All in all, the Eureka Val is quite a nice and well-run establishment, and we enjoyed our stay there. Regarding the negative comments about the landlady, I can well imagine that as she seems quite an efficient person she probably wouldn't tolerate any rowdiness or very noisy behaviour and that she would strike down on such – as well she should.

Apartments a little small, but otherwise not a bad place at all

It has a sauna and jacuzzi for a fee, friendly service at the French or English-only reception. Really the interiors of the fitness room are very nice., they are very small, the bedrooms are for very small people and entering a cabin dos pax is very complicated for a good rest. Nevertheless, with good humor and good attitude you have a good day, which is what it's all about.

Very fair, as almost all the French Alpine skiers do.

No big pretenses, basic and decent apartments. Slightly small beds, but all in good condition. Ride to the slopes. Considering how expensive it is worth being is a valid option.

 An economic option.

We spent 15 days in this residence. Very pleasant accommodation. Nice clean and well maintained apartment with everything necessary (towels, sheets, kitchen utensils, dishwasher...).
