We have found this hotel near the Dordonya river, we are in a good and has been a wonderful stay. Excellent in the views to the rives while eating, the owners and service very, very nice. 
For sure, a place to recommend.

Nice stay in a short holiday

We have had two nights here at L’Escale in Siorac-en-Périgord the hotel view from the terrace is lovely overlooking the river.  Although right on the main road the rooms are below so very quiet. Rooms are very adequate one double and one single bed very comfy. Good parking and really you do need a car to get around could be a good spot to stay if you are cycling around the area. The couple who own the property are lovely have lived here from the uk for 15 years so no language issues if like us speak only English.  If coming by train closest station is Le Buisson-de-Cadouin but also train station Siorac-en-Périgord. Highly recommend this property and its surrounding.

Little piece of paradises 

We visited L’Escale on a beautiful evening at the end of May for drinks and snacks. The view along the Dordogne was really lovely. 
Servers were attentive and drinks were quickly served. Food was better than expected.
A  really great way to spend an evening.

Fabulous views

We had a table for 4 and we all ordered the same meal. I was surprised at the quality of the food and at the service we received. The views over the river are breath taking and the 7 arch bridge just adds to the beauty of the view.

The food is as good as the view

Basic clean rooms with great shower. Helpful and friendly English proprietaire and family. Well cooked food on terrasse. Walking distance of station and village. Canoeing below hotel. River being so close quite trance-like. Good value.

Tranquil spot by river

We went here for drinks and pizza and had a lovely relaxed evening with great food, fantastic views and excellent service. The menu is quite extensive and was well cooked with good portion sizes. The young waiting staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful and welcoming. We had an excellent evening. This restaurant is a little out of the way but well worth the stroll as the location is perfect.
