Our room was large and beautiful. Hosts were great. The place was just a little hard to find. The village around it was great for walking. Make sure you make reservations at one of the local restaurants for dinner. The breakfast at the associated hotel was excellent.

Old-world charm.

· The room was a very generous size - though we were only two, the room was sufficient for a family of six. Our beds were comfortable. The position in the pretty town of St Aignan was good and crucially, we had a secure place to store our cycles. 

 · Unfortunately, a number of things did not go well. There was no-one there to meet us, though I had communicated by phone with the owner to alert him to the fact that we would be some 10-15 minutes later than our expected arrival time. After a long day's ride, one thing you don't want is to try to figure out where your room is. I had communicated by text in French with the owner who told me I could speak English with him; but when I called it was clear that he did not understand me. So communications were not great. When I asked where we could eat, he recommended a restaurant that was closed that evening (and is always closed on a Tuesday) which was unhelpful. 
By far the worst thing, though, was that the shower in our room was lacking a seal at the bottom of the shower door. This meant that water which hit the door went straight onto the floor, which was made of large ceramic tiles. These tiles turned into an ice rink with so much water sitting on the floor. It took me 3 minutes to have a shower and 20 minutes to clear up the resulting flood. I understand that the owner was aware of this problem but we were not alerted to it. Frankly, the shower room is thoroughly dangerous because of the slippery nature of the tiles with water on top of them. One slip could have ended my cycling holiday. The room should not be let our until the seal is attached to the door.
Breakfast was not included and we ate a good breakfast at a nearby cafe.
At no point did I see the owner and therefore did not have the opportunity to explain my dissatisfaction and my very real concern about the dangers posed by the shower room. I will not be returning to Les Chambre Pandas.

A good family room undermined by a dangerous shower room and poor communication

We spent one night in this very nice flat before visiting Beauval Zoo.We are a family of 5. Room are big, bed are comfortable and the bathroom is convenient. What could we ask more ? 

The house includes several suites and a common living room. We bought some French croissant & pains au chocolat to improve the breakfast tray.

Nice, comfortable & convenient

Les Chambres Pandas was very pleasant with a rustic homely feel. Situated in the centre of the delightful village of Saint-Aignan, with its cobbled streets. Easy access to local shops and restaurants. For a short stay it's more than adequate. Spacious rooms, great shower, lots of hot water with very friendly amiable proprietors.  Wifi connectability was a problem. Parking a short walk from property but you're able to drive into the courtyard to drop off your bags prior to parking.

Pleasant accommodation and charming people

Large room (3 bed rooms for 6 persons max and 1 bathroom) but the tapestry and all window's painting must be renovated at finaly some missing bulbs.
It's not possible to park the car near the location.

      
      

Large but old-fashioned

5 of us travelling together and needed a place just off the chateaux route.  This place was perfect for our needs.  We were able to book online, we got the entire 2nd floor to ourselves which had 3 rooms.  The downside to that was that we all shared a bathroom down the hall but for $108 Euros I was completely happy.

The place is a mixture of some beautiful old antiques and some modern furniture.  It is on a very quaint little street with free parking about 1/2 a  block away or they have some parking at hotel.
