brilliant hotel located in the heart of paris.  Most of the tourist sites are within walking distance.  The lobby is manned 24/7 and staff are very helpful.

The rooms size is small, but that's what you get in the center of paris.  The price is affordable.  metro stations are nearby.

excellent location

Stayed one night at this hotel as I was attending a concert at Le Grand Rex (and it's very close and was handy for that purpose).
If you're on a budget and can't afford anything better, then it's close to the metro station and doesn't take long to get into the centre of the city.
However, the room wasn't nice, uncomfortable bed, and not much natural light.
The breakfast was awful - for €7, you get a croissant and a bit of baguette + a drink. No choice AT ALL. Just get what you're given.
If you need a one night stay close to Le Grand Rex, it does the job but I wouldn't recommend for anything else.

Not good but handy for Le Grand Rex

We travelled here for New Year (myself and 2 friends). We'd booked a triple room, which was in fact a double room and no more. 1 double bed, 1 single. We asked about this but they were fully booked so we had to just suck it up. :(

There was literally NO room to get ready. Nowhere to put bags, hardly any floor space. I get that buildings in Paris have small rooms etc, but squeezing 3 beds into this room and claiming it's suitable for 3 adults is just misleading. 

The bathroom was so so so sooooo teeny. The light was so dim too that it was essentially showering in the dark. Nowhere to put your things either. Door was wonky and no ventilation so the smell in the room was like damp, which wasn't pleasant. 

On the plus side, downstairs in the reception area was pleasant, and the lady and guy are really nice. Location is excellent, loads of lovely cafe's and bars within a minutes walk and the metro is just round the corner.

Not as lovely as the photos on Booking.com would suggest!

First. Front desk. Manager, supervisor,kitchen service.cleaner is only one person!
Good look is you're in room #4. School is front of the hotel .the noise horrendous.l tough first day was a riot outside. We went late to bed.Of course we're in PARIS WAKE UP LATE  
Bathtoom with mold. No safe box. No hair dryer. No PHONE!!! Noise you can heareverything! 
I honestly said to people please be aware. They don't even advise you of the dangerous riots over there so can be careful not to go close there.
He The all in one MANAGER was given us an upgrade for one night. Next days 7 more same room or cancel our reservation. He knew that wasn't any available hotel  because of the Davis Tennis cup tournament! 
Theymade the bed only not cleaning at all omly twice a week  and not mopping or sweeping at all.
The face towels looks like foot towels. They can  rip off your skin!
I'm posting this comment only for them to improved.  But the noise from the scholl is horrible. No solution for that. 
He told us The Mdnager. "DEAL WITH THAT" He meant  (THE ROOM )
My apologies to the others customers because l didn't took their advice.
Hopefully you will.He told me for 89 euros what else csn l expect! 
Made your own conclusions. I have travel around many countrys from 5 stars to 3. They put one website  3 stars. The other when we check was only one!

The worse experience EVERRRR!

We stayed in room number 6 on the ground floor which was perfect for us. Wet room shower, kitchen area with fridge, cooker, kettle, work top for preparing food (you are in Paris, why cook?) and a sink/taps.

The bed was firm but comfortable after a long day of stomping around Paris but most importantly the hotel was clean.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and somebody was there 24/7 and would always greet you no matter the time you arrived.

I would recommend this to anyone, lots of lovely bars and cafes nearby and the metro is very close too.

Perfect for a 3 day trip in Paris!

we were a group of 5 people. we booked 2 rooms, the double was ok but the triple room was very tiny and mostly the bathroom was excessively small. into the shower there was a very bad smell of mold that we could not even see because the light was very dim.

on the other hand the staff was friendly.

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend in Paris and we used this lovely hotel. Our first, but definitely not our last visit to Hotel Saint Marie. 
Our room was comfortable, clean, cosy and quite. 
Staff were friendly, with the gentleman on reception making us a cup of really good coffee when we arrived too early to check in but we did drop our bags off before heading out.
Fabulous location, a pleasant 20 minute stroll takes you to the Seine and the heart of tourist Paris. A five minute walk takes you to a pedestrianised Street absolutely full of great places to eat or drink and the nearest metro station. 
Breakfast is croissant, coffee, yoghurt, bread and orange juice, perfectly adequate but not exciting, if you want a more extravagant breakfast there are plenty of nearby restaurants and cafes. 
I did read a comment about the tv only being in French, well yes it’s true, but it doesn’t take a genius to work out that tv programs in France will be in French! Not really cause for complaints. 
There is no lift, this is worth knowing if you have mobility issues, and the stairs are steep but this a charming and very old building. Tonnes of character, quaint and on a very quiet street (side street) A junior school opposite the front was the only noise I heard and that was not very noisy. 
No air con but the windows do open fully. 
Lovely large shower cubicle, big enough for two should the mood take you, soap bar and shower gel provided, but no hairdryer. 
Our room was furnished with a double and a single bed, two stools, a bedside cabinet, tv and white bedding, I especially liked the tiny lights incorporated into the tiled floor. Our room Was spotlessly clean, although there was a small step into our bathroom and I managed to trip up this step way too many times. The bathroom was again spotless and fully tied with more than enough white towels for two adults. 
The breakfasting area has beautiful old beams holding the upper floors in place. There is no bar. There are plenty of local bars.
We shall use Hotel Saints Marie next time my husband has business in Paris, which is about four times a year. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as long as they can manage stairs. We was in room 17 on third floor.

Great hotel, great location.

My family and I are currently staying at this hotel. Upon arrival I suggested to the female manager that the room made me feel claustrophobic. She asked "well what do you want?"  I was shocked at the response and asked if the room could be changed. She said all rooms weee booked and we can adjust. 

That evening I mentioned to a male staff on the desk about how unpleasant we felt. Well, the look in his face clearly said he was not interested or concerned. Needless to say, we are stuck in a 2x4 where we have been totally abused as visitors to Paris, France. 

Today, we've just returned from shopping from 12:00pm to find our room has not been cleaned and all linen is still just how we left it. I obviously complained to yet another staff memeber who was appalled the cleaner didn't do their job. 

The mould in the bathroom prevented up from showering so we took soldier baths to prevent any fungi. I can't explain how disgusted I am with this choice of hotel. 

It pays to pay attention to reviews on Trip advisor and steer clear from these hotels. I am still here and checking out Saturday morning which can't come fast enough. I've travelled many places and NEVER have I been tested this way! 

As a frequent traveler I do NOT recommend this hotel for any family that wants to sleep on clean sheets and have a clean room! 

OHHHHH, let me not forget the damn telly only has French speaking shows!

Highly disappointed and totally disgusted.

This was the last two nights of our 3 week Europe trip, we booked a nice hotel to end it in Paris but were left rather disappointing. It was the most expensive of the 3 weeks and yet we received the smallest room and unfriendly staff. 

The only plus is its close to two metro lines.

A real let down

Cannot recommend this little hotel in the back streets of Paris enough.
Its about a ten to fifteen metro journey from all the main sights, the metro is very cheap and it’s a great way to get around.
This beautiful hotel, the staff, are amazing, arranged airport transfer taxi for us, recommended places to eat, drink and things to see and do. There is an array of beautiful restaurants that are not at crazzzyyy Parizian Prices within a 5-minute walk of the hotel.

This hotel is perfect for people who won’t spend a lot of time in their hotel. We wanted to see the sights, et, drink, have a great time, it wasn’t a pampering holiday. It was a weekend getaway to see Paris without the expense of the hotel prices right down where all the major sights are.
Hotel was warm, and rooms were serviced daily, they weren’t the biggest room, but comfortable, warm and clean and we spent very little time there. Perfectly priced!
Excellent excellent excellent and especially if you are on a budget.
