Booked here at the last minute, via the logis web site. Its worth noting that is is a small hotel and its not clear on the web site that the recption is not staffed 24/7 - we were fortunate that the hotel owner was doing his rounds and was able to quickly let us in, but if you are planning on arriving after 6pm you need to phone and so that they can  let you in, or you may find the door locked (we arrived around 10pm). 
Parking is very easy - its just outside the hotel.
The hotel is so quaint - I doubt the rooms have changed much in the last 50 yrs, with original wall paper and old beds and furniture. 
The bed was really comfortable and we slept really well. The room was a very good size.
Breakfast was a traditional french hotel breakfast, with more than we could eat, and excellent coffee.
The hotel owner was pleasant and helpful.
The hotel is very pet friendly - they accomodated our very large Great Dane without a word. 
Final thing to say about the hotel, yes it may look a little old fashioned inside, and the the wallpaper may be a little faded (we liked it - it had character) but the place was spotless.
The area around the hotel is quiet. The village is pretty and has lots of historical information and pictures from the past (it was an important area during WW I). Outside of the village the countryside was beautiful, and ideal for cycling.
If you want a modern souless hotel then this is not what you are looking for, but if you want to stay somewhere with real character, take a step back in time and enjoy a comfortable hotel with good customer service then this place is highly recommended. We would go back there again either for a quick stopover (as this trip was) or for a longer stay to explore the area.

Loverly quaint hotel

After our car was incapacitated on a French Autoroute our Insurance company put us up here, I’m so glad they did. It’s a lovely quiet spot with a beautiful forest walk round the corner. We ate at the hotel restaurant in it’s splendid dining room. There was a number of options we enjoyed a delicious set menu for €22. But the best part of all was the friendly and helpful staff. During our stay phoned the Insurance company, garage and breakdown service everyday, I don’t know how we’d have managed without them. Many, many thanks 🙏🏻. 

Accidental Stay, so glad we did

Went to celebrate my wife's birthday with some good food and we  not disappointed.  After checking in, we were taken to a room on the second floor (steep staircase) which was well appointed.  The dinner was excellent.  We chose the fixed price 3 course menu which turned into 6 courses with the addition of an amuse bouche, a pinacolada flavoured sorbet and petit fours with coffee.  A minor problem arose the following morning when the shower head disintegrated but this was rectified by the owner. The second meal was almost as good as the first, although we feel the chef new we wer British and instead of steaks cooked a point as ordered, they were more like bien cuit.
All in all I was impressed with the welcome and service that we received.

Great traditional cuisine

This was a stopover before returning to Blighty. the rooms were very french, large and airy. We did enjoy our stay, but there is nothing to do here, except for a walk by the canal. We were lucky enough to see some hot air balloons being set up and fly off, which gave us some entertainment for half and hour or so. We ate at the hotel because there was nowhere else to go, but the food was nice, if a little fancy for some of our group, they did a set menu for a set price which helped, but the men in our group were still hungry at the end of the meal.

Typically French

We stayed overnight at this '70s-'80s dated hotel and were welcomed by the friendly owner -whom by the way, taking into account the hotel's interior, showed some funny (positive) Basil Fawlty-likeliness-, who showed us the room, explained breakfast and dinner timings. He warmly confirmed us also a table for 2 for dinner in his restaurant. The room was basic, a bit dated but tidy and clean, and quiet. The bed itself offered a very comfortable night of sleep... and we woke up by the bird's massive singing from the forest next door. Prior to enjoying an excellent dinner, we had the apero/drink in the apero-room, adjacent to the breakfastroom. We opted for the (4-course) 29 € Menu Saveurs ... which was brilliant. Very thoughtful waiters, excellent service and very tasteful well-presented dishes. This is surely recommended ! The restaurant was nearly fully booked.seated, which confirms probably the great quality it offers.  We will surely return here !

Very classic (dated) clean hotel & brilliant restaurant !

We used this hotel for an overnight en route stop.  It was a bit difficult to find but the hotel had placed a few strategic signposts on main roads.  It is at a t-junction in a small village and there is parking available at the front of the hotel.
It is a member of the Logis and Contact groups so one can use either loyalty membership.
It is obviously showing its age, there are some period features and the bathrooms have had to be squeezed into the rooms but all facilities are there and the welcome was very friendly.
The restaurant similarly looks from days gone by but it is a relaxing place to eat and drink.  The hotel concentrates on its food and for some people it may be too fancy, too pricey or the portions too small.  We were very happy with the quality and the expertise of the chef but could have eaten more.  As to value then I advise guests to use the set menus.  The service was excellent and we ended with a superb eau-de-vie from one of the digestifs trollies.
A few yards down the side road one can get to an old railway track which is now a very pleasant walk through the local wood and on into the countryside.
