Difficult to find higher quality than here, and Corinne (la Patronne) goes out of her way to make you welcome and comfortable. Since we arrived late after an exhausting drive, she even made us an excellent evening meal with 36 oysters, an excellent soup, and a bottle of good rosé. A chambre d'hôte without fault.

Wonderful Quality

This is a lovely place, a little north of La Rochelle and l’Ile de Ree, but worth the drive. It’s perfectly located if you are into (race) biking and also like to explore the coast and country side to the north like did. 
The atmosphere is warm with a touch of an African lodge. The rooms are small but very comfortable and clean. It’s a very comfortable place to stay, really. We loved it, as we loved the host. 

Worth to drive a bit further

House is very comfortable and decorated with the taste beyond our expectations.
Corinne is a wonderful host. She went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.
I would recommend it without hesitation.

Awesome stay

Spent a wonderful few days at Un Banc au Sol.  Our room was stylish and very comfortable.  We received a warm welcome from Corinne who is a great host - full of local knowledge and advice.  She recommended some great places to visit as well as memorable restaurants.  We hope to make a return visit in the future.

Wonderful stay

We rented all the rooms for a university reunion and we had a delightful weekend. Corrine was very responsive to inquiries before our arrival, had a lovely briefing when we checked in and she went above and beyond during our stay. 
Everything about the decoration and amenities have already been said in previous reviews but let me sum it up one more time: it is gorgeous and well appointed.
Special thanks for pointing us to the some of the best oysters we had in years.

Perefect weekend!

Second visit and still impressed!  Corrine is so vivacious and helpful, the breakfasts were divine and everywhere is both well maintained and immaculate. Each room has been styled with care, the beds are comfy and you can even help yourself to coffee and tea during the day!  The weather was disappointing during our stay, but plenty to see and do in the area.

Lovely Re-visit

We've stayed with Corinne three times and each time has been faultless. The only problem is that Un banc au soleil is so highly rated that we've had to book next year's dates to be sure of being able to stay at this superb house.
