Aux deux Orangers

Brilliant chambre d'hote that gives you flavour of real life of reunionese people. Very welcoming hosts that go extra mile to make sure that you are happy and satisfied. Our French is non existant and so is their English, but somehow we were discussing very different and sophisticated topics from local traditions, cyclones through football to sharks ;) How? I have no idea. But it worked! Back to detailes: you have full floor at your disposal, not just the bedroom but living room, huge bathroom, separate toilet and gigantic balcony with breathtaking views. There is a lavish breakfast in downstairs dining room (size of large ship!) at a time of your choice and you can have a dinner with host family every evening. This is a perfect way to sample local (and not only) cuisine homestyle and spend hours drinking;) and talking (well, communicating) to hosts. Dinner has to be booked a day in advance, so for first night ask for it while booking. There is no resturants in a walking area so I would recommend it. It is a bit difficult to find but you do no need satnav, just simply print from google map a page with local streets and have fun using it! Go towards Bras de Pontho following signs (it is still France for God's sake) and then use your print out. Hint: it is white painted house at a corner of two local, narrow streets about 500 meters from main road. This is not an all inclusive resort with concierge and butler service and pools with massage;), but if you are looking for a real life Reunion holiday experience close to mountains that this the place to go. They provide everything you need, there is even a small outdoor pool in a back garden next to orange trees.
