The Hotel and the Igloos are super unique and we felt very welcome and comfortable during our stay.

But: We would recommend everyone not to book the package Santa Claus Villag, as the price does not justify the benefits.

We paid around €272.00 for 2 people:
Admission to Santa Claus Village: free
Admission to Snowman World (as we have now learnt from you): free for overnight guests
Huskey Tour: €45.00 per person according to the price list at Huskey Park
Lunch at Santamus: €29.00 per person
Transport Arctic Snowhotel <-> Santa Claus Village 20,00 € per tour / per person
= 228,00 €

Totally overpriced. Also if you for example don‘t want to each a 3 Course Dinner for Lunch. It is not needed

Also our snowshoe excursion was over priced for just 1,5 km.

Stay WOW / Activities low

We took the tour and dinning at the Ice Restaurant. 
I have to say it exceeded my expectations!
The place is wonderful, the food was delicious and the kindness and attention from the staff is excellent! I recommended fully and it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Excellent experience

We opted for the hotel tour of the ice hotel + dinner in the ice restaurant. The hotel is incredible: every room has a different style with arts built with snow and ice, the kids - and parents - were in awe as we entered each room and walked around the premises. The dinner was delicious - I recommend the Elk among all dishes available, the Salmon did disappoint a bit - although of course very cold, but that's part of the experience!

Since we drove to the hotel, we took time after the dinner to play in the snow and slide with the many sledding provided and took our chance to see the norther lights from the skybar upper deck. The entire family loved every minute.

An experience not to be missed

We had one night in the Ice Hotel and one night in a glass igloo.
The hotel staff are amazing and explained everything to us regarding our stay. 
So glad we got to stay in the Ice Hotel, it is amazing, the attention to detail in every room is incredible. To be fair we didn’t get much sleep but for one night it was worth the experience.
The meal in the Ice Restaurant was excellent, the food was hot and very tasty, the staff were very friendly and attentive.
The glass igloos are warm and comfortable, there isn’t a lot of space in the igloo but it didn’t bother us for one night. 
Breakfast is served in the Log Restaurant and there are plenty of hot and cold items to choose from.
We also had an evening meal in the Kota restaurant which was also very good, my only comment would be that they wait until all guests are seated before stating the meal service and when some guests rudely arrive late everyone has to wait for them.
We also had the Snow Sauna experience which was excellent and I would  highly recommend to try it.
Overall we very much enjoyed our stay here.

A great two days

My fiancé and I have just returned from a wonderful stay here. The snow hotel is a must visit, we stayed  here for one night and the artwork and attention to detail in every single room is incredible,what a wonderful experience!  We spent plenty of time looking around all the rooms and had fun in the ice bar.  We then stayed In the glass igloo which was lovely and warm and cosy. Very clean. We didn't do too many excursions as we were fortunate enough to have visited Finland the previous year and had done quite alot,but we enjoyed the snow shoeing trip,aswell as the private ice sauna and jacuzzi, we went on some beautiful snowy walks on the frozen lake,had fun on ice, tubing ,and skating, and enjoyed feeding the reindeer on site also.  There are plenty of activities to book up. Breakfast was plentiful,lunch at Kota was lovely.  Staff friendly and helpful, we didn't want to come home. We even got to see the northern lights on our last night ,thanks to the aurora alarm in the igloo alerting us

Wonderful holiday!

We went there with our kids aged 28 and 25 at the end of January 2023. We went there to enjoy the nature of lapland, reindeers and of cause northern lights. We arrived there by the Santa Claus train from Helsinki early in the mornind and were picked up by the hotel shuttle at the train station of Rovaniemi. 
We stayed in two of the glass igloos (one for us and one for our kids next to our igloo).  These igloos are equipped wirth a bedroom and a bathroom with a shower. From  the igloos you have a free view of the sky. If you are lucky you see the northern lights right from your bed. The hotel offers a so-called "aurora alarm" that wakes you up when northern lights are visible, but you can also switch off the alarm if you don`t want to be disturbed. 
The hotel is rebuit every year from snow and offers several unique hotel rooms created from ice and snow, together with a chapel, a restaurant and a hotel bar from ice. Every hotel room is special and offers a warm equipment for the people who stay there. I think that it will be a great experience to stay in one of these rooms. 
They also have a traditional restaurant where they serve traditional food, e.g. salmon and reindeer. There is also a hotel bar (not built from ice) in this building, whre you can also stay on the first floor.  
The hotel is located near a lake that was frozen during our stay. A lot of activities are offered, e.g. a visit to Santa Clause Village near Rovaniemi, visit of a reindeer farm with ride on a reindeer sled, icefishing, snowmobile fun, etc.      

Perfect location for great memories including northern lights near the Arctic Circle 

The igloo itself is cute and had more space than we expected. The beds have the option to raise the head and the feet like hospitals beds. The bathroom was small but good enough. The hot water lasted well enough for 2 showers. There’s an Aurora alarm that we kept on. Not sure if it works though since there were no northern lights during our time there. Breakfast was good. We ate at the Ice Hotel as part of the experience. It was fun as the dessert dish was made of ice. The food was just so so and I think the 3 course meal was 69 euros with pretty small portions. Our package also included a drink in a glass shot glass at the Ice Bar. Throwing the glass against the wall after drinking was fun. We also added the private Finnish spa to our package and this included a hot sauna - very hot, ice sauna- basically hot sauna with ice walls and benches, and an outdoor hot tub. The hot tub was only set to 37 degrees max so it wasn’t nearly hot enough. The private option also included a shower room and free drink (grapefruit soda). The whole experience was good but not something I would do again. 

I wasn’t expecting much in terms of service but I was surprised. The igloo roof is made of glass and they were all covered with snow during our 2 days there. The main reason for paying to stay here is to be able to look out the glass ceilings.  There was no attempt to remove the snow off the glass during our 2 days there.  There was quite a lot of snowfall while we were there but the snow plows didn’t come out until nearly 11 am, which means we had to hike through the snow to get to breakfast and then again with our luggage to check out. There is a shuttle that picked us up from Santa Claus Village which is available for a fee or as part of a package like ours. The driver just opened the luggage compartment under the bus and went back to his seat. No attempts at all to assist. This was the same for when we arrived. There is no luggage delivery service available at the hotel, not even a paid option. Some of the igloos are far from reception so you have to drag your luggage through the snow in the dark. The first morning we were unable to open our door and had to text our friend in the igloo next door to go ask reception. They sent a maintenance person to break off the ice around our door. We found that if we kicked the door it would break the ice and open. There is no phone in the room and no one at reception after hours, only an emergency number to call. I can’t imagine what would happen during emergencies. 

I am not usually particular about service and I also understand that Finland customer service is different (nonexistent) but considering how much it costs to stay here, I think they should do better in this area. At minimum, the igloo glass ceilings should be routinely swept off so we can see outside. It’s motel service at the price of a 5 star hotel. I should mention that the customer service via email prior to arrival was great. Too bad this ends when you’re handed your room card. I don’t regret coming here for the experience but wouldn’t do it again and would recommend staying one night only. Santa Claus Village nearby has better accommodations for cheaper, excellent service, and better food options.

Nice experience but not good value for price

Unique stay in glass igloo. Accommodation was excellent, reindeer on-site to feed and interact with. Ice hotel an excellent experience. Snow shoeing & Tobogganing also available.
Staff friendly & helpful.
4 stars only as felt included Breakfast was a little light on options, but still substantial.

Unforgettable stay in glass igloo

We gathered our courage to sleep in snow hotel and we got just an amazing experience. The beds , sculptures are just amazing. How one can sleep in snow bed. Ohhh it is just amazing to sleep in temperature 0- -5. If u get uncomfortable sleeping in ice bed then they have kept the provision of bunk beds in locker rooms. Will never forget this night.

We stayed at the Arctic Snow Hotel and Glass Igloos on their 5 senses of ice package. It was a brilliant experience and although we didn’t see the Northern Lights because of the cloud cover we had so much else to do that it didn’t detract from the holiday. Highly recommended - especially the glass igloo but to sleep overnight in an ice room was pretty memorable - and yes, we were warm enough!
