After a few years of non-stop work, I needed some days off in a different environment, and what I wanted was a comfort, paradise-look hotel close to everything so I don't have to move a lot, and that's exactly what this hotel can offer to you, and believe me when I say the hotel surpassed our expectations, and is quiet if you consider is so close to clubs! (except for some guests that arrived during our last stay who were a terrible example of how a civilized person should behave and treat their kids, but the staff made sure to control the situation to not disturb the other guests)

The staff, rooms, location, even the beach, everything was just perfect. A special thanks to Ketty, the very first person in receiving us, as she was extremely friendly, a lovely staff member, and overall, she will guarantee that ALL guests will be treated equally and fair. If you want a hotel where you want to feel like home, with the beach at a few steps (literally at the back entrance of the hotel), and close to all the fun, with the guarantee the hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, and you'll feel respected, this is your place.

One of the best hotels I've stayed!

I took my family on vacation to Atacames (8 adults and 2 children) and we booked 3 oceanview rooms.  The hotel feels super safe regarding Covid protocols and the staff is fully vaccinated. Ketty (the manager) and her team provide attentive and responsive service. Housekeeping is done daily, the rooms are fully sanitized and fumigated. This is the only hotel I go to in Atacames. Very high standards for me and my family.

Excellent hotel in beach front property

The hotel Cielo Azul is in Atacames and it's un front to the beach.The hotel offers hot water , cable TV , airing also It has a big pool and a small pool .The hotel has the best servicie throughout the country further it  has a restaurant where you can eat tipycal food from the Coast of Ecuador. I like  ceviche de  concha,shrimps,fish,bolones de verde,encebollado also you can drink coconut juice and lemon juice. some people   with to drink beer as well.I stayed in this hotel the last year together with my family. It isn't expensive because I paid 40$ for two   nights.
I advise this hotel because it's the best in Atacames.

Cielo Azul Hotel 

This was an excellent choice!
Walking distance to heart of town and hotel was right on beach with ocean view rooms.
The breakfast is included and tasted great. January is the quietest season if you want to have some peace and quiet but if you go starting February, the action starts and parties all night in Atacame.
As for the rooms, we had a 2 room suite on 2nd floor with one room that slept 2 adults and the second room slept 3 adults comfortably. The service was great and staff very friendly. Definetely worth going back.

Visit to Esmeralda

The first time that I visit his hotel I was a kid of 8 years old I went with my mom and my cousin and they only thing I can assure us that the service has improved and I don't want to say that it was bad but now it's much better it is located just in front of the beach of atacames in a quiet zone  perfect for relax no too far from the most commercial and social area of atacames. The rooms have air conditioning and hot water the bathrooms are private. There is a very nice pool that is always clean and tidy in the hotel grounds between the restaurant in which you can serve breakfast lunch and dinner if you want.
Seriously this is the best hotel I have ever visited and I would certainly always go back!

The Hotel Cielo Azul is located under the German-Ecuadorian management of the owners. It is especially suitable for guests who value a family atmosphere and who want to know one of the most beautiful beaches of Ecuador and Esmeraldas.

First I'm going to talk about Atacames, this is an Ecuadorian city, capital of Atacames in the Province of Esmeraldas. It is located in the western part of the province, to the northwest of the country. The majority of the inhabitants of this city make this spa one of the most popular and popular in the country. In this city is located the Blue Sky Hotel, this is a very comfortable hotel where we can rest quiet and with a very warm atmosphere. This hotel has spacious and cozy rooms and suites for 2 to 7 people, large private balconies most with sea view, free wireless Internet, swimming pool, parking, air conditioning, color cable TV, fridge with minibar, hot water , Family atmosphere and Direct exit to the beach.

I recommend this hotel, here you can spend unique and fun times, it has its own bar and exit to the beach, you can see the sunrise and the wonderful beach.

A great place, I wouldn't stay anywhere else for my next holiday in Atacames. We had a great time with our 3year old. The place is exactly where you want your hotel to be: on the beach, distant enough from the bars not to hear their noise but less than 5 minutes walk from everything you might want to find.
The view from the hotel's many balconies is spectacular and there's a hammock for every room. Cathy the manager is nice and very professional. 
The place feels safe and the swimming pool is a great plus.
If there was a way to get a juices/cocktails and some food at the nice pool bar this would be simply perfect.

This hotel's got it (almost) all 

We almost stayed in Sua at a depressing hostel. Sua is not much better than that sadly. Nice bay but very depressing. We were afraid Atacames would be ugly as we'd been told by Locals. The hotel was perfect, awesome service, beautiful clean spotless spacious room with two beds over looking the beach with balcony and hammock. The price was great too. There is a pool and poolside breakfast was included. There are a couple beach lounges that you can move closer to the water (be kind a bring them back). atacames is a large expansive beach. This is at the quieter end. A less than five minute walk down the beach will bring you to the action of beach bars and shops and food. We weren't thrilled with our choices at the bars or food either. It was nice that the hotel had beer available at only a few cents more than a market would sell it. I eagerly and highly recommend this place!!!  The taxi ride to the airport was $25 which was arranged by the front desk. As a gringo, I never felt unsafe, though we didn't stay out late. Thanks Hotel Cielo Azul!
