Villa Snekkersten

We just stayed two brief nights, but this is a delightful place for a mini-break. Its just a short train trip from Copenhagen, and included within the Copenhagen city card limits. So its a good alternative to expensive city centre hotels. There is a bus outside straight into Helsingor, where there is the Kronborg Castle and a lovely small, old town to explore, plus more seaside spots along a very convenient tramline. And the Louisiana Museum is just a few train stops away - an absolute must see, as much for its art as the stunning coastal setting! Stay for lunch. Its all very peaceful and scenic. The Villa itself has beautiful rooms, furnishings like home, relaxing lounge and breakfast room, with many options for sitting outdoors to take in the view. If possible, request the large/double room upstairs with balcony/decking area. Definitely order the breakfast. We also enjoyed the local restaurant a short walk away, set within the small, local marina. Only warning is the shared bathroom - but its huge and beautiful, and we found sharing no difficulty at all because its a small Villa.
