We stayed for 4 nights in February, so it was pretty quiet. We had a sea view room which was large, clean and modern, although the beds were not quite as comfortable as hoped. Breakfast is served in a lovely sunny room above reception. The staff are helpful and speak excellent English.

Very Good

Compared to most hotels in the area Amphora is smaller and much more personal.
The rooms and suites are to a very high standard.
The breakfast caters for all tastes.
However the bar is quite expensive but the hotel is very close to restaurants and supermarkets.
We chose very wisely staying there.


Smaller is better.

Amphora is a stunning small hotel on the coast, 20 minutes easy new promenade walk, east of Paphos harbour and town. We were pleased with our quiet clean room and delighted with the breakfasts. However the one evening meal we tried was disappointing, with the buttered cod actually a BATTERED triangle of fish (frozen). Could do much better if the restaurant served traditional Cypriot grilled or oven baked food. Plenty of good restaurants nearby so this was no problem.
All rooms face the sea and the amazing sunsets. There are huge hotels nearby but the charm of the Amphora is in being small, only 6 blocks and all are 3 floors high (lifts in each block).
Lovely holiday with cheerful, helpful staff, and despite lumpy bedding, due to oldish duvets, we shall return.

Stunning modern hotel and suites

Location excellent with big open space bordering the sea, in 5 blocks,with a new concrete pathway all along the edge of the sea, all the way to the harbour & all amenities.
Opposite the hotel wes a small island with a bank, 2 supermarkets & a few other shops.
The food was excellent, the waiters even helped me by cutting up anything I had problems with & helping with heave jugs, plates etc.

as a disabled single traveller with a scooter I was treated as a celebrity

Really nice place to stay with sea view and access to the walking road across the sea. Nice staff and good breakfast and dinner. No lunch unfortunately. But there is a good bar next to eat near the sea that serves good food for lunch. Had a really good family time there. 

Great place with amazing view

The hotel has minimalistic design but personally I liked it. We were happy with our room, balcony had an amazing view but I believe in summer the pool area is very crowded (we traveled in winter). 
Receptionist Iryna was so so helpful and nice to us, nothing was a problem for her, really really good service. She explained us where to go and eat and made our stay better.

Breakfast is cheap and coffee is not the best. I also have a question to housekeeping, they didn’t clean our room properly and didn’t renew coffee and tea station. The bathroom smells weird.

Despite that we would definitely come back! 

Nice and relaxing 

We stayed at the Amphora suites (twice in two months!) and we are extremely satisfied with the experience. The rooms are spacious and wonderfully decorated, the breakfast is delicious and the cafe/restaurant on the site (Suite 48) offers the opportunity for everyone to relax outdoors and enjoy the fantastic sea view. I highly recommend it!

-scenery/architecture looks like a university campus (personal taste of course)
-gym needs an urgent design upgrade
-indoor Pool is NOT heated during winter months and no personnel attending the spa/pool reception
-serious doubts about the cleaning of the room,no daily brooming and mobbing and certainly not wiping shower toilet or washing basin in our three day staying

Don´t expect much

Indoor pool is good but would be better if it was heated for winter months as a little cold. Food quality in main restaurant could be better. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Suite 48 bar and restaurant adjacent to Hotel serve exceptional meals.
