We stayed here for one night and were very impressed by the quality of the food. I want to give special thanks to the chef for such an expended dinner and breakfast and the staff for making our stay so smooth.

Friendly and helpful stuff, comfortable rooms, great breakfast! A very nice small colonial hotel with a perfect location near Plaza Cespedes in the heart of Santiago de Cuba. Great value for your money. We would book it again!

This small, clean, central, well driven place was like a oasis. Only a few block away we met the city noise and pollution caused by traffic. The city lost power a few hours both days we were there, but the small courtyard gave us the a bit of cooler air, which was highly needed. 

The reception staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and accommodating.  Marta was particularly charming. 

The hotel oozes colonial charm with its high ceilings, patio and original features.  The large double room we had was well equipped with modern  amenities (Sat TV, air conditioning, safe), and had a quality bathroom with unexpectedly good shower and toiletries.  

Location is fab - short walk to music venues (Artex patio, casa del carnival, etc), main square.  Far better then being out in the international area where you need a taxi to get into town proper.  

Breakfast was good.  Fresh fruit and eggs were lovely, though coffee fairly weak.  



I had a very plesent and comfortable stay at the beautiful San Basilio in Santiago. Hotel is very well situated between park Cespedes and other interesting sites like the Bacardi mansion/museum and very near the boulevard. Rooms are well equiped as one would expect for this kind of budget. The ceilings are so high you could do some drone practice if you got one with you ;)

The personel at the hotel are very nice and helped me out a lot. Specialy Emilio at the reception and the very nice lade from housekeeping who has a dificult name to remember.

I recommend the hotel and also booking thru Cuba Travel Network if you are dutch like I am. I got my room with discount and also you can pay with iDeal.

We stayed over the week in this small hotel, exploring surrounding and center of the City.
Staff of this hotel is extremely helpful to sort out all our requests.
Especially Emilio at front desk has wonderful "problem solving" attitude which on Cuba helps a lot. Emilio has very good English and French and he has accommodated every special request we have had during our stay in Santiago.

Recommend by friends this place is lovley to stay scenery is amazing ,  nice beach the rooms are very large and clean, staff very accommodating try to help where ever they can, it is not far from town centre the food is worth trying lots of different dishes, weather was fairly good as well,

This is a small hotel that is near the center of town and is quite nicely appointed.  The rooms are large with high ceilings.  They have all the amenities you'd expect: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower caps, umbrellas, a scale (!).  It's slightly worn and could do with some minor upgrades but it's clean and the staff is quite lovely.  The central lobby is quite nice with high ceilings, nice chairs, and lovely stained glass.  The breakfasts are good and quite plentiful.

Nice Hotel in the Center of Town

On arrival the charges turned out to be outrageous with approximate 150 CUC per night for 2 persons. After visiting the rooms, which smelled damped, we decides to drop our booking and to look for an alternative. 
We moved to Hotel Casa Granda which turned out to be a great decision. It´s the best placed hotel in town with a roof terrace overlooking the city.
