We four had the great privilege of spending one week towards the end of summer in this splendid hotel. 

Everything was pretty much perfect: the rooms were sizeable, comfortable bed, blackout curtains, & soundproof. 

Super to have a Nespresso machine in the room, with capsules offered & replenished daily. 

Well maintained bathroom, with a bath, shower and everything else you night need, and daily cleaning and fresh bedding and towels. 

Plenty of storage room, a sofa to lounge on and a balcony to chill and hang out washing to dry.

They do say the devil lies in the detail, and the hotel delivers spectacularly on this front. Adriana is set in beautiful gardens, just off the seafront, in an incredibly quiet and private location. There is ample  space for guests to find a discreet corner, either in the shade of the trees or by the pool.

We found the temperature of the pool to be a little bit cold, but then again we visited later in the season, so perhaps this is less noticeable in the height of summer. Nice touches by the pool, with fresh towels and water tanks to hand.

Saving the best for last: wow… the food! We ate like kings and queens every single day, and enjoyed such splendid breakfasts and gourmet dinners. The menu changed daily, and there were options for fans of fish, meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. Absolutely delicious offerings every single time. And great wines to wash things down with.

No meal is complete without excellent service and - again - we were royally cared for by Sebastian and Pamela, not forgetting others who stepped in and worked as a team to make sure we had everything we needed. 
 
In short, it was a very memorable stay and we offer a round of applause to each and everyone who made it so enjoyable for us! 

An amazing stay!

Calm, comfort, delicious food and drinks in a beatiful location : beautiful swimming pool in a magnificent garden right by the sea where you can swimm easily but rest by the pool for the beach is stony, crowded and rather noisy. 
Rooms are a bit old style but in perfect condition and comfortable. 
The food for dinner excellent and refined with full free drinks and the cocktail master is at his rop!(welcome drink offered. 
Definitely an excellent adress in Zadar

Calm, comfort, delicious food and drinks in a beatiful location

Our 7 night-stay at the Adriana was a mixture of both frustration and pleasure.
First the cons: The rooms are a little dated and small. I had to do some work and there was nowhere to put my laptop - a small desk would have been useful.
But the main issue was that there were power cuts on 2 of the 7 nights, meaning no air-conditioning resulting in a serious lack of sleep during those 2 nights... not ideal for a restful vacation!

But the pros outweighed the cons. The main highlights being the staff, who were excellent. The desk staff, the bartenders, the waiters and waitresses were all gracious, warm and helpful.
And then there is the food. Having dined at some top hotels and restaurants I can state the dinners at the Adriana are up there with some of the best! Every night a wonderful, different choice and whatever you ordered was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Particular kudos for the sous vide steak which was melt-in-the-mouth amazing!

We might come back soon, but if the rooms are refreshed a little we'll DEFINITELY be back.

Amazing Staff and Finest Cuisine

Pleasant hotel outside of Zadar, next to a pebble beach, in a wonderful, quiet park. 
The atmosphere is relaxed and elegant; the rooms would need an update (air-cond, furniture), although the beds are excellent, and the balcony inviting. Excellent food (with minor limitations), friendly service.

We enjoyed every day of our stay!
This is such a nice and lovely atmosphere. Hotel stuff is so professional. We will visit this hotel again for sure!


Best Falkensteiner Hotel in Croatia!

A small, quiet hotel in a beautiful garden. Food was excellent: great omelettes for breakfast and and tasty five course dinners. Pool and outdoor dining areas were fine. Bedroom was comfortable. All the staff were friendly, gave great advice and made you feel welcome.

A gem

Only had three nights at this lovely hotel but we'll be back as it was fabulous. Lovely room overlooking the sea, delicious breakfast and dinner (always vegetarian choices available). Great fun getting out and about on the bikes and also spending time relaxing around the large pool - plenty of room for swimming lengths as well as enjoying the jacuzzi and jets. Already planning to visit again next year.

Superb

Couldn't fault this hotel. Great room, friendly staff and excellent food. We spent most days by the pool and getting a sunbed was no problem. Evening meals were fine dining. We were there for 12 days and it was a different menu every night. We had a comfort room and it had a separate living room and bedroom.

chilled out holiday

We spent there a week in a september. Nice location (direct sea view), close to a beach, perfekt food, very helpfull and friendly staff. The only thing is that the rooms are a bit old fasioned and need restauration. However satisfied with the vacation.

zadar

Tucked between larger, busier Falkensteiner hotels in Zadar you can find the more serene oasis of Adriana. Maybe 40-50 rooms, 17+ only, makes this a delightful place. Lovely superior rooms and recommend those facing the sea or inner gardens. 

Some may baulk at booking full board but we would recommend it. Set menu for dinner but with at least three options the choice is good and we thought the food excellent. The light lunch from the buffet works well, too, if you’re having a lazy day by the pool just 100m from the sea. Wine included and it’s good, local wine. Beware of drinks included however as it is a little vague between the restaurant and pool bar. 

The service is excellent. Friendly, helpful, accommodating staff in all areas with special mention of the restaurant and reception. There is a sense of understaffing which may be post covid and financial efficiencies and we would advise Falkensteiner to address this. We also wondered about management support for and supervision of staff who clearly work hard yet there are areas which need attention such as checking and cleaning the outside showers by the pool. A relatively small observation yet making a difference. 

The 4/5 is however fully deserved: we had a lovely time!
