We stayed 3 nights booked in by the business wee were visiting. 
Few staff spoke much English and we appreciated the interpreter who was travelling with us. 
The rooms were clean overall but some details were missed. Our biggest problem was with the air conditioning and the room was much warmer than we liked. 
The other guests were quite loud and disruptive at times. There is a night club in the hotel which gave off a low bass thud at times - not enough to annoy is but enough to be aware of.
Breakfast was an extensive buffet with plenty of options. 
Note the hotel seems to be I the seedy side of town. I wouldn't stay there as a single woman.

Adequate but not excellent

1) 227 rooms hotel - one person speak english - "speak" means just a few words
2) Cleaning standards - very poor - especially bathrooms.
3) Food - only chinese restaurant - no other options.
4) Windows ( in room ) - diry
5) General Standard very poor and I wll never come here again.
6) Not recommended - never seen such thing in Europe

I stayed we for 3 days for attending an expo. Good place to stay if interested in nightlife. It is walking distance to quite a few clubs. Rooms are good and no complaints on service either. 

English conversation could be a problem with the front desk unless their manager is available.

Great location for party

We booked three rooms in this hotel via China Hotels Web site who, by the way offer an excellent service. When we arrived we were told that the hotel had cancelled the reservation but they did just happen to have rooms available but at a higher price than we originally booked. Words like Rip and Off come to mind!!
The top floor restaurant is a joke. The third floor Chinese is better especially if you can get a private room
As for the rooms.......Hmm, adequate in an emergency but we wont be planning on staying there again. The staff are rude and the guests even more so. Its not good to be woken in the night with the sounds of an argument rolling up and down the corridor outside the room.
Well, on the trip as a whole, there had to be one I suppose and boy was this it!"!

Hotel of Last Resort

I found Leewan to be a good hotel for the price you pay. There were a few issues - A/C not working too well, no free drinking water,  phone calls in the night and rude wait staff in the restaurant on the 23rd floor. Overall I was welcomed and treated with respect and the location is excellent. I would stay there again.
