This is the ideal place to stay on Grand Cayman in my opinion.  This set of condos (we stayed in #5 for a week) is quiet, peaceful, equipped with absolutely everything you might need, and in a fantastic location.

There is next to no noise here except for the surf.  It is quiet and at night almost free of light which lend for some spectacular star gazing.

Our condo was beautifully equipped with float toys, a kayak, gorgeous furnishings, comfortable beds, two grills (gas and charcoal), HD TVs, WiFi, washer/dryer, beach towels, and pretty much everything we needed.

Our family loved the pool and dock.  There is a wonderful reef just off the dock which provided excellent snorkeling opportunities.

It is about a 40 minute drive into Georgetown depending on traffic, but we loved being away from the city.  There are numerous wonderful restaurants and bars within a 10-15 minute drive.  There are several attractions within a short drive as well.

We have been to Grand Cayman several times, and this was the best place we have ever stayed.

Look No Further

We have been coming to cayman for 25 years. Started staying on 7 mile beach until it got to built up and we found this little piece of paradise. This condo is everything a tropical  island should be. The location is perfect. The best snorkling reef on the island right out your door, where you feel like you are snorkling in an aquarium. A boat dock to rent a boat or jet ski to hook up to or to Go fishing off of as we have seen bonefish permits tarpon and lots of rays go by. The unobstructed sea view from the condo and the privacy are amazing. The condo is equiped with all you need to have a great vacation. They have beach toys, snorkle equipment, books, beach towels, etc. all you need to bring is your clothes and tooth brush. I cant express enough how amazing this place is to have the best vacation of your life...we would highly recommend it to anyone. And we will be back. Its hard to stay away..

First time to Grand Cayman. Enjoyed a 5 night stay in condo #6. Clean, bright, and comfortable. Screened in patios were great to enjoy bug free evenings outside. Our trip was focused around snorkeling locations and this spot delivered with a large reef area right at the end of the dock extending east for some distance. Because of the rocky shallow nature of the shoreline here, not the best beach for generic beach activities, Easy to explore the lesser developed side of the island from this location. Put 200 miles on the jeep we rented exploring areas around the island (Spots beach, day trip to SMB, East End, Botanical Gardens,, Kaibo, Run Point, Starfish Beach, Bodden Town)

Quiet with just the right amount of things to do

We stayed at Northern Lights condos in Feb 2014. The condo was very clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. If you read other reviews on Bo's condo you will see that people said "it felt like home" they are absolutely right.  We loved being able to get up and go snorkeling on our own (almost private) beach. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing spot...this is it. we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Bo

Beautiful place to stay

My family (wife and children ages 5 an 7) stayed here, in unit 7 for a week in Jun2013. I can't say enough great things about the trip as a whole, the condo, and the owner.

The condo is clean and updated. It feels more like a home than a rental. The complex has 9 units, most owned and NOT rented (so we had the pool to ourselves). The owner lives on site and is always available to answer questions, provide recommendations an what do do, where to eat, etc, or just chat! He really cares about making your stay not only comfortable but PERSONAL, from the note left on the door welcoming us upon arrival to the private tour he gave of his relative's impressive estate.

The condo sits on the north end of the island away from the more dense seven mile beach area, which we all REALLY liked.  Rum point is just a short drive away, and the best snorkling is just outside your door (though you do need to wear protective gear on your feet, as it's a rock entry).  For those with young children, just go to the end of the private dock, but your fins on, climb in, have your youngster put his/her fins on, and left them down off the deck. It's well worth it.  Your also only one mile from the little known and secret "barefoot Beach" - a beach we had all to ourselves with an easier water entry, and again, some of the best snorkling on the island - MUCH better than Seven Mile.

Even though you're on the north side, for those from the US who are used to driving to get where you wanna be, it's really no problem travelling into Georgetown for the day (we did it several times). It's about like my daily commute into work (though the locals talk like it's a long way, and i suppose if you live and work in NYC, maybe it would feel that way).

Anyway, the owner is fantastic, the place is just perfect, and Cayman in general is hands down our favorite of our Caribbean experiences (Jamaica, Bahamas and St. Thomas being the others). HIGHLY recommend!

Fantastic experience and facility

We stayed here for a week in February 2015. It really is the ideal place for a quiet stay while on Grand Cayman.  Bo, the owner, is very accommodating and genuine and makes you feel very welcome.  We arrived on a Sunday when grocery stores were closed, and Bo had offered to pick up some groceries beforehand, which was a great help and ensured we had breakfast the next morning.

The condo is very clean and perfectly suited for a family of 4-5 or two couples.  The views are great.  We spent most of our time on the screened in back porch, watching the dive boats go by and enjoying the ocean breezes. The best snorkelling we found on the island was right off the reef out front and down towards the Queen’s Monument.  At night, the sound of the ocean is sure to put anyone to sleep. The pool is well maintained and perfect for sunbathing or an alternative dip if the ocean is too choppy. WiFi worked great, the BBQ is a dragon and the AC was cool when needed.  

We loved being on the quiet side of the island. It’s a little farther from the action at 7 Mile Beach (if that’s what you’re looking for) but we loved the less touristy side. You’re close to good restaurants, the botanical gardens and Rum Point and it’s only 20-30 minutes if you’re heading into Georgetown.

Our only complaints were the lack of some kitchen items (tea pot, enough glasses, proper set of dishes) and limited snorkel gear. You will need to rent if you want flippers.  Overall, we highly recommend it and would gladly stay there again.  A big thank you to Bo for making our stay top-notch!
