I had the chance to observe bears, mom with three cubs, a coyote, I've been to our ancestral estate for several years from 2003 to 2013 I highly recommend it.

a true refuge of peace

A nice house, a warm welcome but bad isolation (you hear the neighbors talking, the steps, the opening of the doors) whereas a 4-star breakfast with full golden pancakes, juices, muffins, served by a very kind person.

Correct without further ado

We stayed for 2 nights at our ancestors' estate. The room was convenient, we felt like we were in our country house. Bathroom to share with the toilets, but we arranged and everything went very well. The little plus is the breakfast prepared with great care, nice napkin, nice table set well, with coffee service.. very nice. Crepes, fruit, juice, coffee, lost bread etc.; very complete and taken with the other travelers. Thank you to the cook, dear warm, and friendly woman. At least it's the visit of the black guests that is what it is... for the previously small price reviewed in the reviews above. Bof bof apples by the bears who must be observed.

Authentic experience, like at home!

I haven't slept in the cottage but I've been watching bears. Personally I'm against feeding animals especially sharks because there's contact with humans. Here the food is brought out of their presence and we observe in the utmost silence the wild animals that don't see us. I think it's a good compromise to see them in their natural environments.

Observation of bears

Gite that depends on the 5-star farm. Don't expect the luxury of some gites. Everything is rustic but functional and clean. As for an old house in fact the isolation is limited but is part of the charm. Wifi ok, downstairs 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms to share. Little bemool on the noisy road that does not allow to enjoy the outside but at night traffic stops so quiet. The person is welcoming and cooks a good breakfast that we will have in the common kitchen to all the rooms. So a cran below what we had visited but functional and welcoming.

Rusty but not to blame

Some would say: perfect scam... so yes, they taste the bears so that you can observe them but that doesn't mean anything because the other day, despite the food, there were no bears! we, on the other hand, had the opportunity to see seven! the guide, the young Derek was extraordinary and visited us with a lot of humor:-) which doesn't spoil anything. some would say you're expensive for what it is, I just say GE-NIAL!

Bear watching: perfect!

No soundproofing, the cleanliness of the sheets more than doubtful, the kitchen unusable and I mean... we had to go to the farmhouse to eat five stars in the morning (a very good breakfast, so to speak).

A bad surprise

I spent 2 nights at this bed and breakfast with my son. It is a very modest B&B but extremely clean which is very important to me. There are a couple of things that may be considered a negative for some:  First, like many B&Bs, you have to share a bathroom with 2 other rooms.  I knew this when I booked so I was prepared for this.
At this place the shower and the toilet are separate and across the hall from each other. Second, although there is WiFi, it is not available in the rooms. Finally, there is a tv in the common room but it does not work. 
The staff is very friendly and like I said the rooms and bathrooms are spotless. I was very pleased with the breakfast: coffee, tea, orange juice, pancakes, freshly baked croissants (both plain and chocolate) a variety of muffins and fruit. 
Things to do:  There is a black bear tour that operates right there. I went and enjoyed it (saw 5 bears).  They pick you up in a yellow school bus.
It's a 5 min drive to the whale watching tours... if you are there for the whales, book the zodiac.  Also, you are a 15 min drive to "Cap du bon-desire".  Amazing. We sat on the rocks and watched the whales swim past us. Pack a lunch and enjoy. 
Less than 5 min drive to "ferme 5 etoiles" where there is a petting zoo (farm animals, deer, fox, moose, raccoons, emu and wolves... you can pet the wolves).  
We enjoyed our 2 night stay. Hope this helps.

very clean

We booked the black bear experience and stayed one night at this bed and breakfast. It's really clean, the rooms are a good size but basic and the lady that checked us in was very welcoming. 
The facilities are shared, which I hadn't realised (my error for not checking) but again clean with a separate toilet and a shower room on the first floor and a combined toilet and shower room downstairs. There is also a communal kitchen area with a small fridge, microwave and a table with chairs. There is also a lounge area with a television.
Breakfast was generous with home baked croissants panne aux chocolate and pancakes. 
Overall a lovely place to stay.

One night stay

I expected this to be a minimalistic bed & breakfast place, but I didn't expect that for $100/night, you get a shared toilet and shower, slant ceiling over the bed which gives you less than 6 inches of headroom (if you lift your head from the pillow, you smack your forehead on the ceiling), rude reception staff, noise from the highway and wifi that doesn't work at all. 

There are better options in the area. This place will leave you feeling like you just got robbed of $100. Never again!
