One-day trip.Spotless and very friendly place.

Stay a night at the Hotel Le Pionnier before a whale watching tour the next day. Staff was friendly and we found the room comfortable and clean, but a bit on the small side. Great location not far from the ferry with restaurants and a market within walking distance. 

Decent accommodations

We was  very surprise.  Very friendly.. Very clean and free parking.  I recommend this hotel to any one.  *****

Pionniers Hotel.  The best in the Tadoussac

Etienne was so accommodating.  We came in early and she kindly let us check in after having maid finished our room.  Room was nice: second floor of second building.  Good linens, mattress, but very dark dim lighting in both room and bathroom.  Small things like no shampoo etc, having to go to front desk to purchase kurig cups for in room coffee maker, seemed a bit chincee after paying $200/night.
But then, again Etienne made up for that when, once again she let us in early for breakfast that was delicious .  Something to be noted…..Perhaps designating just 1 of 9 outside seating areas for smokers might be nicer then having them sit on the street corner.

Perfect Location

We stayed at Hotel Le Pionnier for one night. As people have mentioned, there is a lot of outdoor space that does look at the river, but with a fence and some other buildings in the way. The hotel is good, but it's expensive for what it is. The sheets felt cheap, there is certainly space to put bigger beds in each room, and there were signs throughout the rooms with rules that made you want to laugh and ask a hundred more questions (i.e., don't stain the sheets/towels or you'll incur an extra cost because it's abuse for the hotel staff).Would it be my first choice to stay here again? No. But I'm also left to believe that it's a reasonable price for Tadoussac, especially when the hotels leave the same experience for guests.

Was very close to the beach and the restaurant (Café Boheme is a great place to eat). Staff was really nice. But you should check size of the room for price as it seems that my room # 6 was smaller than room # 5- but was charged the same price! But I would still recommend that place. Breakfast was ok.

I was slightly bemused by the "gift" at check in of a K-cup  and milk for coffee in the morning. The room was basic, small, with no view but comfortable. I had to get a 6 am ferry the next morning so there wasn't tome for coffee, let alone breakfast. I have no complaints but would look for someplace more welcoming (the Hotel Tadoussac if possible) if I ever get the chance to come back.

Comfortable but basic

We had two lovely nights at Hotel Pionnier and could not have imagined a better place to stay in Tadoussac. A very pleasant room with an amazing view of the lake. A good coffee machine in the room. Very friendly receptionists and staff. Thanks for making our trip even better - we hope to be back!

Amazing stay - lovely location

The hotel has old fashioned charm with great WiFi. We had a great view of the St. Lawrence through a big bay window. Room was small, but cozy, with all we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel is close to everything. Unfortunately not the friendliest front desk staff. If you’re in the first floor,You’ll definitely hear the upstairs guests.
