We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Auberge Ancrage with spotlessly clean rooms and exceptional breakfasts. The B&B is perfectly located just off the main streets of Baie Saint Paul. Friendly hosts Sylvie and Jean-Marc offered restaurant recommendations and suggestions on local points of interest. Looking forward to our next stay at Auberge Ancrage in this beautiful region of Cherlevoix.

Merveilleux séjour!

We recently stayed at Ancrage for the second time. The room was great, with balcony on main floor. Wonderful conversation with the owners. The breakfast is top notch: tasty, well-selected, and ample. Ancrage is located close to all the points of interest in Baie Saint Paul. We will return.

Great service, beautiful terrace

I was required to be in the area for 2’weeks and my company set me, and 3 others, at the Auberge Ancrage B&B.  I wasn’t sure what to expect - especially as I was visiting from Vancouver, and spoke little to no French.    The Auberge Ancrage B&B was incredible... and the husband & wife team did everything they could to make our stay an amazing one.  Speaking of amazing - the breakfasts were worth the 5-Stars alone !!! Every day was a new surprise and every day was a delicious feast that looked like it was right out of a gourmet food photo-shoot !!  There was even a couple of times that a meal that I would normally never see myself enjoying (eggs benni, for example, is something I never have because I traditionally don’t enjoy it) would end up being one of the most delicious breakfasts I had ever had !! (apologies to my wife :)

The rooms were freshened and the beds were made daily - one day I had only left the room for 45 mins and came back to find that it had all been done. 

This couple were extremely friendly and welcoming - and even helped me learn (and use) a new French word every day!!

To show how accommodating these folks are, we started to run into a laundry dilemma and, although this place had no laundry facility to speak of, they recognized the pinch we were in and offered to do a load of laundry for us while we were away on shift... and sure enough, we came back to a basket full of freshly laundered and folded clothing !!! 

The rooms were clean and comfortable - each with their own climate control.  

Other than the TV in the room was a bit on the small side (they did have a bigger one in a common room), this place was everything I could ask for.  I’m not sure if the other 3 guys will provide feedback on this site - but I can say with all certainty that they wholeheartedly share my opinion.

C’est Bon !!

I stayed in Auberge Ancrage in June 2015 for two nights. Jean-Marc was a wonderful host. He prepared delicious breakfasts and while I didn't meet his wife Sylvie I enjoyed her fruit salad infused with her 'secret ingredient'. The auberge is spottlessly clean. My room overlooked the Gouffre river, which is a tributary of the St Lawrence.  I went kayaking on the river. A great experience. The auberge is situated in a lovely street, rue st anne, which is a short walk to the main part of town and the lovely church.there are many restaurants nearby, while across the road is the excellent Cafe Charlevoix, perfect for a snack.  a great place to stay.

Wonderful host and breakfast

A lovely building, immaculately restored by the owners. We stayed for one night in September and were pleased that we did so. The owner greeted us and was extremely charming. He recommended restaurants in the area and made reservations for us at the one we chose. The breakfast was truly excellent. A charming and stylish spot.
