Went to Hotel Mont Rey in May 2017 during low season, and the price was just a little higher than we had been paying in hostels around the country. This is a modern hotel and good value. We got good service, a large room, good bed, safe parking, excellent breakfast, and friendly staff. The street is relatively quiet during the night, and the hotel is just a one-minute walk from a large shopping mall (Brisamar) and from the long marine parade in São Vicente, which connects to the parade in Santos. This is an excellent area for jogging. The Wi-Fi connection in the room/floor was weak. I guess that there was good connectivity in the lobby, but that was too many floors away. Otherwise, this was the first place where I found truly earthed electrical supply in Brazil, even in the heated showerheads, which suggests good quality building work and inspires confidence.
