Ouro Preto

That's a very nice place. Staff are simply lovely and very kind. There is a restaurant with good food -- the orange juice is amazing. The price is worthy.  That small hotel stays in a small town -- Santo Antonio do Leite -- very close to Ouro Preto, so, it is possible to stop by there in 30 min by car. In the city there are not too many things to do. It is a place to rest; very peaceful. For the kids, there is a games room: table tennis; pool.

Summing up, I do recommend.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 2 nights.  The setting is beautiful.  We took two long walks/hikes through the grounds to take in the great views.  The hotel is family owned and operated and they are always around maintaining a high level of service.  The breakfast and dinner is simple, but tasted great.

The location is remote so a car is required.  We spent one day in Ouro Preto and an afternoon at Inhotim museum.

I would love to return again in the future.

This is a nice hotel that provides typical meal from Minas on the top of the mountains. You can enjoy Ouro Preto and at the same time a Coffee Farm Hotel. You will need a car to move as it is far from the road, but you can easily find due to good indication.
 The restaurant in the evening offers just some simple soups, so you need to go to Downtown in Ouro Preto. The staff is nice, the rooms are clean and comfortable but all simple as a farm. The children can enjoy the horses, the cow and the adults the sunset. The smell of fresh coffee in the morning is something unforgettable.
My family and I spent 4 days in July and we want to return when back again to our country.

Wonderful view, the soul of Minas Gerais

A delightful pousada and working coffee plantation set in stunning countryside with far reaching views to the blue mountains. Accommodation is in single story, 4 roomed bungalows, each room with its own entrance, private shower/WC and fridge. Views from the bungalow look out across the valley and can be enjoyed while relaxing on the terrace from the hammock provided. 
An excellent breakfast is included and is taken overlooking the natural spring -water pool. Full board is available if required and the pousada provides home-cooked local food all organically grown on the farm usually a robust lunch and soup in the evening. However, the local village of Sant Antoni da Leche is only 10 minutes drive away and there is an excellent restaurant there which serves traditional Mineras food.
The owners are keen to show guests round the farm and visitors can either take a leisurely stroll or horse-back ride round the estate and also see the coffee roasting operation.
