Pousada do Suico is a low budget place kind of lika a hostel, close to all you need. The rooms are not great, but you get what you pay for. The breakfast buffet is quite wonderful compared to the rest

Stay low budget close to all you need

Dont stay here! We had many problems at this pousada. First, we were charged more than the advertised price on their website and to make matters worse they had a sign out the front with a promotion that they wouldnt offer. We tried to explain this but nobody spoke English.  Twice we asked to speak to the owner but he was never around. We found dirty used toilet paper in the bathroom cabinet. Breakfast doesn't start until 7:30 which is a problem because a lot of tours start before then. We asked if we could eat breakfast a little early the night before and we're told it was ok and then in the morning we were laughed at for asking for some food. To make matters worse the staff walked past us at 7:15 with a delivery of fresh bread rolls and didnt even offer us a single plain bread roll. Many times in Brasil pousadas have gone out of their way to offer you some sort of breakfast if you are leaving early but obviously this pousada does not care anymore. Breakfast was very average,  just cheese, cold meat, bread, fruit and stale cake from a packet. They do offer eggs though but we were only even offered this on the day brazillian guests were having breakfast. This place is just another perfect example of how a place just loses all interest in making anybody happy once they have their name in a guidebook. Take my advice and don't go near this place.
