Oxygen deprived new visitors may be put off by the number of stairs leading to the hotel, but there are staff around to assist. The rooms are humble but functional, though the absence of heating is quite an issue in winter when it get down to -5 ,at night. It's hard to find a warm place to hang out, though there are cafes in the vicinity. The breakfast is quite austere. It's serviceable and the staff are ready to help but it's not a particularly warm place to stay.
