This place has an amazing view.  When you arrive it feels like you are in the last hotel and restaurant on earth.  From there easy to walk to main attractions closeby.
Dinner & breakfast are pretty good!  We had a very nice Covid free stay

Last restaurant on earth

Under Covid-19, we decided to get a couple of days off to relax.  The pics of this place looked exactly what we were looking for: nice views, great and quiet location, a good restaurant, classy rooms, and so on. We arrived still exited because of the location but as soon as we entered Le Beau, a real nightmare began. The host received us in a hurry and harsh manner and directed us to our room. We were surprised by a very outdated space, which did not cover our expectations not only aesthetically but in regards to corona hygienic needs. Instead of being a classic, wooden (classic or country style) the room was very old and cheaply arranged  (for the price they are asking). The view was awful, from the top of the hill to a very busy highway (and the old windows did not block the noise AT ALL). Furniture was very bad quality and old, and the only closet (plastic) was located IN the bathroom, which was divided with the room by a  PVC folding door. Soon after we arrived we asked to reduce our stayed which ended up with the host harassing and  threatening us, out of his mind, and  forcing us to pay for the entire stay plus a dinner, etc. etce..Still today we have a legal procedure going on and we really wanted to prevent you of having the same nightmare we went through if you still can avoid it.

Horror movie! AVOID

My wife had booked a room 5 weeks ago for my birthday surprise. She rang the hotel this evening to book a  evening meal for this Friday and was extremely shocked to find out that there was no room booked even though she had 2 emails confirming her booking!

The owner said that it was probably because she hadn't properly given her mobile number correctly.  I can't understand why they never bothered to email her that there was something (possibly) wrong.

He said it was probably a mistake from the computer but he was too busy then to look into it....

After reading the last 3 reviews I'm rather relieved we're going to stay somewhere else!

My recommendation is in the second part of the title...

Didn't even get to stay there !!!  Won't EVER be rebooking

Whatever you do, dont go here for a meal!
1: At no time, or on theirr website do they inform anyone that you are serving only a Gastronomic meal.
2: Nowhere is there a quote for the price of the meal.
3:  There is no wine list and what was offered is of poor quality and you do not give any indication of price.
4: It took almost 45 minutes before the amuse bouche was served. One dish, the fish was inedible.
5: There was no explanation of what the courses were either before or when they were served.
6: Totally ignored anyone’s food intolerances, which is in the EU, ILLEGAL.
7: The main course of Veal was cold and the meat was too tough to even cut.
8: The staff was totally inept at serving customers.
9: The chef before the dinner when I complained about the lack of a menu or wine list absolutely stank of cigarettes, and this after having sat down with no meal for almost 30 minutes.
10: No side plates or butter knives

At the end of it all they had the temerity of charging me 110 Euro for a very poor, and unsatisfactory meal.



Gastronomic? No chance!

What a great building in a great location overlooking tree lined cliffs down to the river value. Sadly the new owner is a dead loss. We arrived in June 2019 and it was all but closed up. The kitchen was closed, no dinner. The bar was closed but we managed to get a couple of bottled beers from a fridge. Breakfast did actually happen but was lack lustre with the crockery chipped. My room was so small the bathroom didn't have a door - just a plastic curtain that concertinered closed. It reminded me of the hotel in the film The Shining with Jack Nicholson. Think twice before you go here. And to cap it all, my single room for bed and breakfast was 100 Euros! Unbelievable.

I have stayed in this hotel before when it was still owned by someone else. The previous owners were friendly, the food used to be good, and you had a lot of choice on the menu. However, when I recently booked a room and reserved a dinner table in this hotel, the new owner didn't bother to mention that he only had one fixed menu, so therefore when we arrived we had to eat something we actually didn't like. It also took several hours before dinner was prepared. Afterwards we ordered a drink at the bar and had to wait another hour before the drink arrived. When we went up to the room, the room wasn't ready yet: a bed was still missing and there were no towels. The owner was also unfriendly and on several occasions even rude! The only good thing about the hotel is the location, though I would recommend to take another hotel in the same area.

New owner doesn't know how to run a hotel!

I have visited this hotel for te last 6 years. It is close and convenient to the famous Francorchamps motor racing track. The hotel is on top of a hill above Trois Ponts with a beautiful view over the valley and the town. The hotel has a long history and breathes old fashioned hospitality and luxury. Rooms are clean and quit. The restaurant is worth special mention. It offers an excellent menu that competes with up-scale restaurants in Belgium and France just below Michelin star level at a very reasonable price and choice of good wines to go with it. Since a few months the hotel is under new management. Then new management plans to upgrade the hotel features and make it up to the standards of a modern hotel, without destroying the atmosphere. 
Another feature of the hotel is that it has a large save parking, that is most appreciated by guests with classical and / or expensive cars (or motor cycles). We visited the hotel with another couple and they were equally impressed.

Hotel with unique location under new management

Hotel Le Beau Site is perched on a hill overlooking the valley at Trois Ponts.  The rooms are smaller and older - but crack your window and sleep with the sound of... nothing! in your ears.  Then get up and get out.  You're in a beautiful area and many wonders are waiting to be explored.  I rated this as a 5 because of its charm, because of the dinners - The best I had anywhere during this trip - and because of the location.  Note to Americans - This isn't a chain hotel - it's a boutique.  So be prepared for what some Americans consider 'inconveniences' like the shower in tub with the folding shower door.  If these things bother you, find a chain hotel.  If not, then try Beau Site and be charmed!
Breakfast is great - a nice continental buffet and the desk will prepare a picnic lunch for you if you desire.  There is a nice bar - quiet and restful, and then comes dinner.  We had only 2 nights here but would have enjoyed more just for the dinners.  The meals were exceptional and served with full attention to detail 
Try this spot and be sure to go demi-pension.  You won't be disappointed!!

Beautiful old hotel with exceptional cuisine

Although the hotel is rather worn in places, the location, service and food soon make you forget that. Fantastic views of the valley below, great walks/cycle routes in the vicinity, good food and very warm and friendly service - what more could you wish for?
