We decided to stay outside of Bruges after flying into Brussels and renting a car. This was an excellent decision since driving to Ghent and Antwerp was very easily done. The stay at Le Plat Pays was outstanding. The accommodations were quaint. We were with 2 of our children and they stayed in the loft while we used the main floor queen bed. I think other “cottages “ on site had similar accommodations. The beds were very comfortable and the room with a loft had a country nostalgic feel...we enjoyed that part! The breakfast was fantastic! We all enjoyed the bread, cheese, eggs, yogurt...and I could go on and on😃. The home and surroundings are beautiful and enjoyable if you enjoy engulfing yourself in the Belgium countryside. Bruges was a great “home-base”. If you have a car you should definitely consider Le Plat Pays.
