Fantastic Dinner very good wines and good service! We had a very good meny of the season . The fresch seasons Boletus "steinpilze" fresch fried in butter as a starter with a good wine savignon kugel. Thenafter the seasons dish! Always one of  the best restaurant in the area!

Dinner before bierzelt 

A "4 stars hotel" with no minimum facilities for a 4 star hotel. No air conditioning, a non-closing window right next to the bed, poor sound isolation (you can hear every car which passes by, not to mention a concert which played until 11 pm on their terrace - staying here with a baby is a nightmare), smoking in the restaurant, NO fridge in the room and the list can continue. Terrible service for this price. This hotel should hold 2* at the most. 

To avoid

I cannot fault our stay here. Umbrellas for the rain. Great food, comfortable quiet clean bedrooms, and great staff. Not a would but a will go again. Great views from the rooms even at the back. The balconies were very comfortable for a glass of wine and a good read.

Impeccable service in a family run hotel.

One night stay with a group of friends in a trekking session across the 10 lakes surrounding Salzburg. Friendly hotel and excellent restaurant. Staff always available and the owner (sorry not mentioning his name) taking care of guests. Congratulations!

Friendly and relaxed

We visit Amy Ausser usually once a year and would not miss the opportunity to eat at Zum Hirschen. The owner is always welcoming and makes sure all is right. Non of us ate and we all loves what we had. Smoked fish appetizer, cream of celery soup with shrimp,  and beef soup with liver knoedel delightful. Filet with mustard crust, duck black hen and dumplings on a bed of  sauerkraut, and schnitzel all first rate. Keep up the great work.
