Absoloutely fantastic. Me, my partner and our two daughters had a magical time. Location, food, room, art, brush turkeys and so much more. Private waterhole for the kids and a waterfall just up the road. So many cute towns and things to do nearby. The breakfast was delightful and tasty every day. Very happy all round. Thankyou Brigitte!

Serenity

When I arrived I was first greeted by the owner, very friendly and lovely. Their dog added a warm touch to the environment.. my room was big, comfortable, clean and the decor/art was one of a kind. If your looking for Quiet, serenity, peacefulness whilst surrounded by the forest and creek then you will love it here! I will definitely come again and highly suggest to everyone I know. If your lucky like I was, you'll get to see a platypus in the creek.

Heaven!

We really enjoyed our stay at Havan's. It's the perfect little get away...particularly if you need a break away from hectic city life like we did! Our host Brigitte was absolutely delightful. She welcomed us into our beautiful Balinese style hut and provided us with useful information about the various things to see and do throughout the area. The huts available are quaint and cozy, each beautifully decorated with Brigitte's own artwork. Brigitte is also a highly qualified yoga and art instructor who I believe is able to book sessions on request for those spending more than an evening away. Our Bali hut was quite comfortable, complete with a spa and a small fridge available to keep the various snacks and drinks we had brought along for our weekend picnic that we had by the beautiful lake near by. The lake is an ideal spot for a quick mid-afternoon dip. If swimming doesn't appeal, you can always just grab your favourite book and enjoy a glass of wine on the porch of your Balinese style hut and escape from the rest of the world for a while. In the evening, we had a wonderful three course French meal that Brigitte made herself. The meal was extremely good value for the cost and was held in a small, intimate room just off-side the main house which again was beautifully decorated with Brigitte's mystical little bronze creatures. The entire place felt like magic. The next morning we got up early (5am) to watch the local platypus have her morning swim. Neither of us have ever been able to see a platypus in the wild as close as we did in that lake. It was pretty amazing. We later had a lovely breakfast (included) of hot and flakey croissants complete with guava jam and fresh melon...an absolutely fantastic way to begin our day of exploring the region's local waterfalls. My only regret is that we didn't book a couple more days to spend time and relax in this little piece of heaven.

Havan's Ecotourist Retreat: A little place of magic

Absolutely stunningly beautiful!! Bridgette the host was such a kind and attentive host, and Milo was an excellent tour guide! The accommodation we stayed at was the Bali Hut with spa- the whole bottom floor is a wet room with such a luxurious spa looking out into the rainforest. The bed was so comfy it was hard to drag ourselves out of bed, listening to the calming sounds of the abundant bird life outside. 
We ventured down to the waterhole which ran right out the front of our hut, it was Devine! Such beautiful clear and wholesome water flows! 
With so much to do and see two nights just wasn't enough- all the accommodation is so tastefully decorated and styled, there is always something to discover.
Bridgette serves a beautiful brekkie in the morning and nothing seems like to much effort to appease her guests. A magnificent artist the surroundings always feel thoughtful and tranquil. 
A must do is to go down to the water hole early in the morning with Bridgette to see the Platypus swimming and playing together- it was lovely to see her so excited and enthused to show us the platypus. such a unique opportunity for visitors!! 
We will definitely be back as soon as we can get away from the rat race!

An absolute piece of paradise! 

it was a fantastic place to stay, stunning and relaxing, it and brought me closer to the surrounding lush Forrest and the warm temperature was amazing, it had no wifi and no reception and was amazing Eco tourist location

Quiet little piece of paradise, beautiful property with plenty of flora and fauna right next to a little river with a family of platypus no more than 15m s from our room , just gorgeous. Had a grate time Bridget is a lovely host 

Beautiful 

Was fantastic. No wifi but we didn't need it. Don't expect the Hilton when going and you'll be extra surprised. The people who run the place are lovely and welcoming. One tip would be to grab some food in town before checking in as its a bit of a hike to get there. And get there before sun down or you'll never find the place. The room it self was lovely with an outdoor bathroom. Highly recommend the place for a night of peace. Just remember to take a book or a deck of cards with you to keep you occupied but if you love romantic walks by the creek you'll be in heaven. 

Beautiful location 

I was fortunate enough to spend a decade at Havan's eco retreat, a perfect place for zenitude in the heart of lush vegetation and enchanting wildlife (semi-tropical forest, natural freshwater basin and its lovely ornithorine!). The spacious, comfortable, refined and exotically inspired rooms are also an invitation to travel... Brigitte's warm, professional cuisine and hospitality also contribute to the quality of this stay. Charming surrounding towns and villages, Biron Bay 1 hour drive away and the high cap national park and its impressive waterfall in just 1/2 hour. In 2 words, it is a place for an exotic and magical resort holiday!
