The Falls

We stayed at The Falls cottages for two nights while up in Montville for a wedding last weekend. This was also an anniversary present for my husband. These stunningly secluded cottages were beautifully clean with everything you could possibly need - abundant breakfast supplies (all local produce), chocolates, port, good coffee, ample wood for the gorgeous log fire and a double spa bath. We spent two very romantic evenings here away from the craziness of normal life and three children!! There was so much wildlife - cows, birds, a possum who visited our verandah and many stories told to us by Alan about 'Jesus' the bull and many other animals resident to The Falls and the surrounding area. Aryna and Alan were absolutely perfect hosts going over and above what was required on so many occasions. Alan drove us to and from dinner on our first night, to the wedding we attended on the Saturday and back into town later that evening and provided us with a lovely bottle of wine and coffee and tea before check out. Who could ask for more! They couldn't have been more obliging if they tried. Alan was full of local knowledge which made our stay even more interesting and Aryna was just lovely. It's all of these little extras that make you certain you'll return to a place, which we will definitely do.... Thank you very much Aryna and Alan, we can't wait for the next kid free weekend to come and visit :)
