This was a nicely appointed chalet in a great location for a week of skiing for our family. 

The chalet is located at Crackenback ridge and there's a free shuttle bus practically every 5 minutes to take you to the village or Friday Flat etc. 

They are cleverly designed with a parents room downstairs and a loft bedroom up stairs - lounge and kitchen in the middle. 

Nice to wake up looking out to a fresh dusting of snow over the golf course. Then coming back after a days skiing and sitting by the gas fire. 

What we really appreciated was all of the little extras that make the place feel like home: a coffee machine, a slow cooker, heaps of cutlery and crockery for when we had friends over - as well as a DVD player and Foxtel. 

Highly recommended!

Snowbound 6: Fantastic place to stay

We chose Snowbound Chalets in Thredbo for our family Ski holiday as we wanted somewhere that was close to the ski slopes and the village, but avoided the noise of being in the middle of the village. It was the perfect choice for us with a 250 meter walk to the Crackenback ski slope, and a nice 5-10 min walk or short bus ride from The stop across the road to the village centre. 
The accommodation was comfortable and well maintained and much more spacious then we expected for a 1 bedroom and loft. It was set over 3 levels with a very large master and ensuite plus laundry on the bottom floor, kitchen and living/dining with fire place on the middle floor, and a large loft with queen bed plus double bunks and tv area on the top floor.
The big bonus with this place was the access onto the Golf Course which the kids used as their own ski slope and snow play area when it snowed. On one day my hubby even skied to the door from the top of the mountain and down thru the bush above the golf course.
The check in and out was easy and friendly with the manager onsite next door to us, we stayed in no.4. The place had all the necessary kitchen and laundry appliances, bbq, fireplace plus tv/foxtel, nothing overly flashy it was just well presented and worked.

I would definitely recommend this to a family or 2 couples who want to be close to the snow and have a nice outlook without the hassle of being in the center of the village.

My husband has already decided to book in here for a Mountainbike and Golf trip in summer.

Great location....  Easy walk to The Village & Restaurants... Easy access to the free shuttle bus to get you to Friday Flat...
Well equipped... Just like home... All the comforts of home... Kitchen decked out for a family & meets all your needs...
Very Comfortable.... Great family sized lounge to sit in front of the wood fire & watch TV... House always lovely & warm... The under floor heating works a treat...
We recently spent 4 night, with 2 adults & 2 teenagers in Wintergreen 6... Everyone was more than comfortable & truly enjoyed our stay.
We had all the comforts of home whilst on holidays..
Noni was lovely to deal with, thank you..
Will definitely be back... And will recommend to others..


Great Location, Well Equipped, Very Comfortable

We stayed at snowbound 4. We are a party of 5. While the apartment is nice n spacious n facing the golf course that is covered in snow now,  it has 3 levels n u can imagine a bunch of old ladies like us strughling to bring our luggages up the stair.  The 1st stair started from the carpark to the apartment n more stairs within the apartment. We were so tired just bringing our stuff to the apartment. 
At over A$1000 a night,  there is NO free internet.  This is very upsetting.  We stayed for 5 nights n were given only 1 Set of towels how stingy is that?! Plus we had to throw the rubbish,  clean up the place,  make sure everything was in place before we left.  At this price we could have stayed at a better place.  Alas those with house keeping service accomodations were fully booked otherwise would not want to stay here. With the price we paid we expected more.  Like any apartment it comes with a washing machine,a dryer,  dish washer,  n kitchen with basic cutlery n pots n pans.  The toilets have few small tubes of shower gel,  body lotion n Shampoo n they expect u to last for 5 days. Not impressed at all.

Expensive n bad service

Thredbo is always awesome but this time our accommodation really let it down. The appartment does not have a working spa or electric blankets. Most cutlery was dirty and stained.
There is no drying room as advertised and when the management was asked they were extremely rude once you could finally get a hold of them. They said that the under floor heating was the drying room even though it states that there is a drying room that is extremely efficient. This is important with young children who get very wet. I had to hire them new gear on numerous occassions. The management offered no apology and then further put my 15 year old at risk. They sent two plumbers to fix the spa, they both said it was not possible to be fixed, but as i had a sick child at home i wanted to be notified so that i could be there. There was no notification and my child was scared by the unexpected visitors who didnt have working with children checks and my wallet was visible on my bed. Another day a woman who also didn't have a working with children check came and said she was there to fix a vacuum, very weird, and again my child was put at risk after i had specifically asked to be told as there was a sick child there. For the amount of money charged it didnt have the facilities advertised so it was very disappointing and the privacy laws were also broken. Absolutely disgraceful.
