116 reviewsFirstly: we are talking about Tilcara, a remote small town - do not expect a large resort-type facility (ugh!). We choose Tilcara and Posta La Falda because there was no suitable accommodation in Humahuaca and we got a rapid and friendly reply from them. That was lucky! After driving through the narrow streets of Tilcara we finally found La Posta. Jose gave us a friendly welcome and showed to our apartment (we had booked a room but were upgraded gratis). It was very well appointed in charming style that suits the environment. Immediately we felt that the one night we had booked was not enough - so we requested another one right there! The view in the morning with the sun on the opposite mountains is breathtaking, The service friendly - wonderful breakfast with home made bread and jams. We got great advise on possible activities from Jose, who knows and loves the area. My only regret is not having had more time to spend there.
