Crazy Summer

This small hotel just over the border in Argentina was a pefect location to visit Iguazu falls. Our room was nice and clean. The air conditioning was excellent. There is a small plunge pool outside to cool down in hot weather. The reason I have given the hotel a high rating is the fact that the people running the hotel were so friendly. They made us orange juice when the weather was hot at no extra cost. They were excellent with advice. They also gave us a small gift when leaving. The hotel has a really cool bar in the from garden. The hotel wasn't luxurious but it was really quirky and we felt really welcome. The location is great for the most amazing places to eat steak. This was our first impression of Argentina and we loved it.

Good value for a cheap room. Everything clean and fresh. Room was a little cramped for 2 guys and the lock was hard to work; I ended up twisting the key in half. Breakfasts good, but (as almost everywhere) were served too late for birders who leave before dawn. But there are 2 cafes in town that open very early, about 6:00 AM as I recall. Consequently we just had breakfast there the day we were leaving. Staff here helpful, for example, by phoning our next destination to arrange accommodations.

We were supposed to stay in another hostel originally, but upon our arrival, the hostel told us they were overbooked and referred us to Crazy Summer. We were originally quite worried as we didn't know this place at all and from what we had read on Trip Adviser, seemed that most hostels are not very clean or have some and reviews. 

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hostel, and even more when we see our private room with bathroom. For Ar$350, we think it's a really good deal.  There's a nice yard with a bar, outdoor tables and chairs for breakfast, hammocks and a swimming pool (not the cleanest though).  Our room is not big but very neat and clean with decent air con. The toilet was one of the best we have had in recent travels. Particularly impressed by the strong and hot shower. 

Not all the staff speak English, so we did struggle a bit. They are all however nice and friendly. Internet was a bit patchy in the room, but good in the communal area. Breakfast was minimal, just toasts and coffee/tea, but seems that this is the case in most places in Argentina. 

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Not sure you can book it online, so best just walk to the place and try your luck. It is just 3 min from the bus station, and there are many restaurants around. Very convenient. 

We stayed in crazy summer in May 2015. It's in a great location being a short walk to the bus station (400m) and has some nice eateries near by. 
The rooms are cosy and clean with ensuites available (great hot showers). 
The staff were very friendly with there being an English speaking owner able to assist with our day trips and travels. Highly recommend!
There are also family rooms available.

Crazy Summer Petit Hotel in Puerto Iquazu

A nice chilled place to stay

Central, clean and cheap

Recommended by a fellow in another town, the place is nice. Accomodating staff is frendly, helpful. No real problems, though the lock on the door was hard to work. No cleaning or fresh towels for the 3 nights, but it wasn't a problem. We check out tomorrow.
