As soon as you enter the gates you get an aura of peace and stillness. Lush gardens, a mountain in the background and just 10 minutes from town.

I booked my parents for 2nights for their 54th Wedding Anniversary. Bridget and Mehulise went above and beyond, from upgrading them to the Deluxe Room to ensuring that they had their meals which was by special arrangement. 

My parents came back looking refreshed and 10 years younger. They could not stop talking about how they enjoyed themselves and  the VVIP treatment they received from the Team including Mrs Tshuma, Mugadziri (who quickly got nicknamed Mr Fix It😂😂 😂) and Sekuru (the gentleman who handled security and sanitizing at the gate).  They just got back today but have already 'hinted' how they would like to go back again🤣 - looks I am going to have to plan another weekend🙈

If you are looking for a getaway that is reasonably priced and you  really do not want to drive far out but you want that feeling of total tranquility, book at Sethule Lodge, it's a GEM!

I will be booking in soon for some much needed R&R, can't wait😁



A Gem 

I had the great pleasure of staying at the Sithule lodge during a trip to Bulwayo.  I cannot say enough good things about this hotel.  It was like staying in an oasis of paradise.  The property was tranquil and so soothing.  The food and hospitality were among the best I have had anywhere in the world.  The conference facilities were excellent and allowed us to be incredibly productive.  And the staff welcomed us like family.  I truly loved my time here: it is a gem of Zimbabwe and I cannot wait to stay here again!

Great saroundings ,nice quiet place to catch a nap on a chilly night ,great service and meals ,if ever need of a place affordable enough this is the place to come to after a long day, will be checking in soon .

Decent sleep

Great facilities and fantastic food. The rooms have an afro centric decor, clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were wholesome and delicious. The ambience was serene and scenary was awesome. A lovely stay for me.

Clean lodgings

I have stopped at this venue a number of times. Each year the facilities have improved. The staff are always very welcoming and helpful. Just wanting to make your stay a pleasure. It is a family owned concern. 

Great place to relax

While the room was tolerably priced, everything thing else was overpriced, including the airport shuttle, breakfast, and dinner. Despite the overpricing, staff seemed to expect tips as well. 
The room was large, but had an odd layout. And unfortunately, I could hear the generator running at night. 
Despite these shortcomings, I liked the out-of-town location, interesting setting, and good food. The bed was very comfortable. 

Great Surroundings but Somewhat Underwhelming

The rooms are clean and well apportioned and decorated. Bed was very comfortable. The grounds are well maintained but the ongoing construction works have affected the ambience of the place.There is free wifi available in the rooms. In these times of power outages the lodge has in place a standby generator that runs all day and night long should it be necessary. There have a small but fully equipped conference room. The staff is not very friendly but Mandla is an exception. He made me feel welcome and special throughout my stay.

Their breakfast is just plain, nothing exciting. The dinner was not impressive either. I had chips and T-bone steak and pork chop and roast potatoes the next day. Just average and the portions were rather small and over priced!. The televisions in the executive rooms are mounted vary far away from the bed. Its not very comfortable to watch and listen unless you turn the volume very high.

Otherwise a good place to stay if you are driving and are able to have meals elsewhere!

Nice and Cosy

No one was there to greet or welcome us at reception, security guard had to get keys for us and show us to our room. There was a weird smell in the room, couldn't tell what it was but it was too much of a bother. The real bother was the shower! It came out as a trickle and we couldn't balance the temperatures. It was either too hot or cold! They need to change the pressure and shower heads to more modern ones. There was no iron in the room and people were making noise outside early Sunday morning. Besides that, bed was extremely comfortable and owners were nice upon departure. We stayed in room 8.
