My “go to” when I stay in the Dells! My group has been coming here for over 10 years & Hamish takes great care of us! Rooms are clean & have everything I need. Great location to walk the strip & even has a pool! Will continue our annual adventures only at the Gables!

Always a great stay

Best location in the dells! If you don't want a fancy waterpark resort with resort prices,  this is the place to stay. Walkable to downtown,  conveniently located.  Cleanest swimming pool I have seen anywhere.  The rooms are a little dated, but clean and comfortable.  No complaints!! Biker friendly...owners provide everything needed to wash your bikes. Friendly owners who are working hard to restore the Gables. We stayed 2 separate times during our trip around Wisconsin,  and they were so accommodating each time. Next time we're in the dells,  we will stay again! 

Best location! Great motel and pool!

This was the first time I have stayed at Gables Motel and it was 32 years for my husband's grandparents. This will be a tradition that will keep on going. My husband's grandparents have been coming to this motel ever since he was a baby. We met the owner and he treated us like family. He saw us arrive and rushed to get our room ready. He gave my 1 year old a beautiful wooden truck to have and my son is still playing with it. The truck will be taken care of. We are coming back to this motel every year.

Family Oriented Atmosphere

Very family friendly! The rooms are very clean, with a large fridge.  The sitting area outside the room is very clean and comfortable.  The pool area is awesome! Plenty of seating, the pool is clean, and heated. Location is key. Just 1 block off the main street. Walking distance to all the best food, shopping, and attractions. The owner Hamish is friendly,  and will cater to all your needs. We already booked next year!!! Thank you Hamish for a memorable family weekend.  

Best motel in the Dells

This a great motel!  Management was friendly and helpful. They even took us to our room and made sure everything was alright.  They were always smiling when you saw them. Room was very clean and comfortable. If you want a no frills motel with a pool stay here you won't be disappointed.  Thanks for the great service! 

Very very nice place to stay!!!!!

The Manager was awesome, we came without reservations, the Hotel Manager was great in getting us a room. The room was very clean, the outside of the Hotel is very clean. When we come back to the Dells, first place the wife and I will look up, and stay again.

Very nice clean Motel

Just when I thought the art of customer service was dead, this place was an unexpected surprise.  We drove up, the grounds were well kept, the exterior was a fresh white paint with stone accents and the pool looked sparkling.  I went to the office where I asked to see a room before booking, which was not a problem.  I was even offered a cold soda before heading to the room to check it out.  Next, the new owner Hamish was telling me about the upgrades they were doing like new hardwood flooring.  The 2 available rooms left were both carpeted, but when I explained that my son and I have allergies, he was so accommodating and did some schedule changes to give us a room with hardwood floors.  Next, the location is PERFECT!  It’s within walking distance to downtown Dells but still just off the main street to be quiet.  I noticed other hotels nearby were lacking pools and had dim lighting.  Not here!  Nice bright lights, and my kiddos and I enjoyed swimming in the very large HEATED pool. It was warm enough to swim in even on a cooler night.  Now, more hospitality…we checked in kind of late and went to the pool which closes at 10 pm.  Hamish came by and let us know that he would keep the pool open another 30 minutes for us, which my kids were so thankful for!  You could tell that as the owner, he enjoyed his work and wanted the guests to enjoy their stay.  Finally, and this is where the Gables stands out, my son left his stuffed bunny in the hotel room.  He won it at a carnival and sleeps with it every night!  Well, I called the hotel and spoke with David, the manager, and he already had our rainbow bunny set aside. However, we live several hours away.  He didn’t want my son to miss his bunny friend, so literally shipped it back to us at no charge.  I kid you not, you will not find better customer service anywhere else.  And David, you have no idea how happy you made my son!  A million thanks for returning rainbow bunny back to us!

Excellent customer service!!!

We booked our girls trip weekend at The Gables for the first time! We all are very happy that we did! The motel is perfect location right on the strip. The pool is heated and very relaxing and fun. Mr. Staff and Mr.Boss are wonderful and very accommodating! This will be our go to place for any trips to the Dells!

I would give The Gables 10 stars! New Management David and Hamish are on the property at all times.

This hotel is the place to stay if you are looking for a motel for business travel or a holiday away. I have been staying here since the 90s, traveling back and forth from Minneapolis to Chicago. Here is why, I stay at The Gables, the management lives on the property. The motel has easy access, it is safe and quiet and it is really clean. Right off of Broadway, walking distance to all restaurants and amusements. The Gables has great lights outside the motel and all of the rooms have windows that you can open for a nice breeze. Another plus, the police station is one block away. The outdoor pool is beautiful and a nice spot to relax or entertain your friends and other guests. The Gables is just the perfect place for a stay! Highly recommend!

The Gables Motel is the best motel in the Wisconsin Dells!  Right downtown!

These guys are full of energy, service, friendliness and gratitude.  The hotel has many great updates and sound walls where you cannot hear your neighbors or even kids at the pool.  Fantastic location and overall an excellent time.  See you next year !!
