Staff was great, friendly each time we saw them.  They talked to our grandchild first which i thought was pretty cool, made her felt welcome.

Nice place

Very pleasant staff and convenient location for the many Rapid City  Area attractions.

The lodge was clean and quaint. The room was listed as having a full kitchen, but it was a stove top only. It was poorly stocked in pots, utensils, etc. The only plates provided were not microwave safe and had cracked - leaving our pasta sauce to ooze through onto the tv trays provided as a table. Breakfast is barely provided - choice of toast or english muffin and whole fruit. But, they'd be happy to sell you a breakfast sandwich. Worse yet was our lack of hot water and staff's unwillingness to admit there was an issue. We were condescended and provided false information leading to confrontation, and being "kicked out" when we said we were not staying for the additional night booked. I believe the breaker tripped but management would never admit anything had been wrong or corrected - even though we had hot water by the time all this had transpired and we packed to leave. Be clear - this was NOT an 11 hr usage issue. Customer services skills were highly lacking and the ability to mange our refund was fraught - taking a week to resolve. During all of this, another customer said she hadn't had hot water for three days, and another one visited the front desk stating her message had not been responded to and that the items she needed moved from one room to the other were in a pile. So we were not an isolated incident. We spent the next night in Keystone, only a few miles away, for only a bit more, had a full breakfast, a fireplace in our room, and a much better experience.

Treated poorly

The location is central which was nice.  I stayed in a little one room cabin and it was tiny.  On the other hand, I was on the road by 8 am, so honestly, it was all I needed.Staff was really good!  I would stay there again!

Perfect central location!!!

The accommodations were nice and clean. The kitchen had everything I needed except a cork screw. There was no table for eating but they did provide two folding tray tables and chairs. I booked the place because it said there was a bar/restaurant, but it wasn’t nearby the lodge. It was on the other side of a busy highway.  You can’t safely walk to the bar/restaurant without risking your life.

The owners were very friendly. Recommend an awesome place for dinner.

I liked and was unique was the playground, splash pad. They had 2 fire pit areas but we didn't use. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Request a blanket for my mom and they gave us an extra blanket. Helped with the fixings the TV so the remote would work. If ever in the area I would stay here. What I didn't like was the parking light it would shine thru the blinds. I think the need some curtains. Stayed in 102.
