The property is very old and make us feel deserted. But for the price, it is OK

Room smelled really bad Curtains was filthy Bathroom dirty

Ok for few hrs rest

Since the last time ive stayed there, the property has gone downhill. Don't get me wrong! The front counter staff and the maid service where on point last week! As far as security is concerned? This last week of 10/19/23, i was awken at 2 am by strange noises from outside. Needless to say i had to confront 2 men trying to break into my work truck. I have nothing negative to say about the current clientele and other patrons at the property. As a matter of fact? I think its kinda cool actually. Other than the normal rif raff of traveling out of town for work and staying in some questionable places, I will give you my true assessment.  The property could use some upkeep, some more security. This is not a property that i would take my family to. Thanks

Dirty hotel and dingy, old room… and shady drug deals going on at every corner.

Story Begins: We were passing through Highway 1 and this seems to be a good place to spend the evening and night. HORRIBLE MISTAKE. Inn seems like a run-down one. No problem. We get what for the price paid. Okay, got in front of our room and immediately danger signals started flashing in my mind. Door has broken paint and rust all over it. Got inside the room and felt a weird smell. okay, let me put on AC. Why is all these buttons broken? Alright it is on now. Why no cold? May be I should wait some time before I request help. They will be accommodating their guest requests that A/C not working, right? NOOOOOO.. 

Drama Begins:  After 3 hours in a hot room, decided to go to front desk asking for help. Well, maintenance guy is out and front desk girl wanted to check the room. OH, btw, they want everyone out of the room before coming in. My wife and kid seems to be a real threat for her. Anyway, she came in, checked the room and said AC is "blowing" cold. Seems like a joke initially. But no. Seems like she is serious. She also mentioned that there is no guarantee that A/C should be working. That is not a part of their advt.  Also, they cannot change my room even though the "inn" seems to be much empty. 
After realizing there is no use talking to her, I requested for her superior. After initially saying she is not available and after much insisting, she seems to be in the way. She came in and not even a glance at me and not willing to check room, she said I am mis-behaving with her employee. She saw that in some hidden camera there it seems! She then said you should check out now and she is willing to refund me. I have 5 mins to go to room and return with the room cards and my stuff out. I had no option and is tired of this non-sense by now and obliged. I realized complaining to cops may not be of any use for me anyway. Found another inn near by which had great customer service, good clean rooms with TV with nice channels and coffee at room. Yeah it was slightly higher than "Inn of Lompoc" but by now, I don't even care any more.
Conclusion: So, long story short, Inn of Lompoc is a run down inn with horrible rooms and customer service. You should definitely take your family there if you hate them.

Horrible staff and rooms

They had us in a back room in the corner in between two rooms that had 4-5 people living in each room. All night there was at least 5-10 people hanging out around the room and when I asked if I could change to a different room because my GF felt uncomfortable the staff at the time was rude and wouldn't assist. Staff stated," they won't bother you they live here so you'll be ok and I'm not going to change your room." Definitely would be nice to know that this hotel houses workers upstairs and down stairs throughout the hotel, so you know what you're getting into.

After checking in and unloading the car… we realized the toilet would not flush… then the handle on the faucet came off in may hand… went back to the office and was give. A new room. While there I asked where the  ice machine was and was told it was broken… then asked the times for the pool… pool closed!  Ok then…. Go to new room…. It’s not “that bad”… but very uncomfortable bed and pillows. Shower “looked” really gross on and on. Will not stay there again.

The towels were dirty, homeless everywhere, overpriced for what you get.No issues with the staff. It is not their fault for the poor review. Or maybe it is since I had dirty towels and theres dust build up all over the shower
